Chicken Caesar pizza Smile Feb 11, 2012   (Related Review)

Decided to share a pizza with a friend. We ordered for the Chicken Caesar PIzza, which consists of roasted chicken strips, bacon bits, onions, mozzarella cheese, caesar dressing and tomato sauce.

I liked the combination of ingredients for the pizza and the toppings were well spread out. The chicken were well roasted but slightly salty. The onions give the pizza a refreshing taste and its all in big pieces so it'll be easy for people who doesn't like it to pick it out. I loved the caesar dressing. It was actually my first time having caesar dressing along with a pizza. Goes well with it perfectly. Everything was good but I'd really prefer for there to be more and stronger cheese taste.

Overall, it was delicious and filling for both of us. Costed us only $14.90 for the regular sized pizza.

Teriyaki Chicken Don Smile Feb 06, 2012   (Related Review)

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Sushi/Sashimi

Decided to have just a rice bowl instead of a bento for lunch instead so I ordered for the Chicken Teriyaki Don. The teriyaki chicken don is a rice bowl topped off with chicken teriyaki and vegetables with a side of miso soup.

The skin of the teriyaki chicken is unexpectedly crispy and the teriyaki sauce is very sweet. Additionally, the sesame seeds give the chicken a nice sesame smell. The chicken itself is juicy and there's no excess oil.

The rice is Japanese rice and while the bowl does seem small, Ichiban Sushi is very generous and the rice bowl was compacted with rice. Extremely filling. The miso soup is relatively sweet and tastes like miso. No worries about it being too bland.

It costs only $9.90 and is very filling for one person. Definitely the better choice as compared to their set meals if you're looking for a one person serving item in Ichiban Sushi.

Spending per head: Approximately $9.90

Chasoba and unadon wazan  Smile Jan 29, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Sushi/Sashimi

The chasoba and unadon wazan consists of cold Japanese tea noodles, mini BBQ eel with rice bowl, miso soup and fruit.

The chasoba was tasty. The soba wasn't too "floury" and it is perfect when mixed with the tea. Unlike some restaurants where the tea tend to be tasteless, the tea actually tastes like tea. The unadon is a rice bowl with a small piece of bbq's eel and egg. I like the sweet sauce they put on the eel. The eel was soft and sweet. Egg was pretty average, like any other egg but it goes well when eaten with the eel and rice.

Miso soup was sweet too and the fruit was that day was orange. Overall, its very filling and I won't mind having it again when I'm craving for chasoba. Its pretty cheap considering there are so many food items. Cost me only $14.90

Beef Chili Cheese Fries Smile Jan 29, 2012

Decided to have the beef chilli cheese fries from Carl's Jr for dinner. Personally, I like Carl's Jr's cajun fries. They are well fried and the skin isn't too thick. Its well-filled with soft potato. The beef chilli cheese fries is their normal fries topped off with small pieces of beef and chilli cheese. The beef has a great smell and is normally moist. The chilli cheese sauce doesn't really carry a chilli taste and neither is it spicy. The cheese is not too concentrated, which is perfect for topping off fries. I love the combination of the sauce, beef and fries which is unique to Carl's Jr. It is very filling so its good to have it as a main rather than a side dish. Costs only $4.90.

Chocolate lava cake Smile Jan 29, 2012
Categories : Italian | Pasta | Halal

I bought the new chocolate lava cake from Domino. It looks like a brownie and yes, the outer layer does taste like brownie. Thankfully, it wasn't too sweet and carried a nice sweet chocolate taste. The unique part of the cake is the inner layer, which is the "lava". The cake has a soft melted chocolate centre. Although its all chocolate, it wasn't too sweet but indeed very filling. I liked the melted chocolate in the centre because it gives it a refreshing taste and when eaten with the brownie it makes it very moist, making it easy to swallow. The cake is topped off with icing which was perfect. Personally, I'd prefer there to be more icing but overall the cake was perfect.

Spending per head: Approximately $6.80
