Uh, no Cry Sep 28, 2011

Ordered this out of convenience a month ago, and honestly, I wasn't satisfied. The pearls are PLENTY, similar to Eskimos', not as chewy. The milk tea itself is not as tasty, don't think it's worth the same price as Koi; would much rather queue and pay for the latter. Heard from my friend who overheard the conversations among the workers there and it felt like they aren't too familiar with the drinks? Like they had to remind each other what to add, and they redid some orders too.

Spending per head: Approximately $2.40

Nice Smile Sep 28, 2011

Heard from a friend this is very popular, expected some queue but there wasn't any. Ordered this Kung Fu Milk Tea and it is really quite concentrated, nice. Asked for without ice ( as usual for all my beverages ) and had to top up 50cents, but it is worth it. There are plenty of bubble tea shops around, but I'd rather spend the money on this Taiwanese milk tea. You can order some other snacks to go with it too.

Awesome Hot Chocolate Smile Sep 28, 2011

Read the raves of their Hot Chocolate and indeed, this is awesome. Or more than that. It's a really generous serving with marshmellows on top. 'The rich chocolatey taste!' This then lives up to it hahaha. Every sip is so satisfying that even my friend wanted to order it ha. Good news yeah all hot chocolate lovers!

The only drawback is that this place is rather hard to locate; we took a cab there out of laziness. And ps. They are closed on Tuesdays and from 1500-1730 on weekdays, so don't be like me, who waited an hour plus for this lol.

My favourite Mango Cheesecake at my favourite bakery! It is really quite hard to come by cause the boss bakes different cakes daily to be sold as individual slices with no fixed roster, but more often than not you can get the Oreo Cheesecake. The slices of mango can only be found at the outer part and they were wonderfully sweet. The cake is like pure American cheesecake, and it's really smooth. The lingering taste makes me happy haha. This bakery plays soothing music such as that of Olivia Ong, and it's quiet so it's quite an ideal place to read or even study at.

Kimchi Fried Rice Smile Sep 28, 2011

Actually I only knew of this restaurant ( the main one ) when I as a fangirl, heard that a Korean band was going there for lunch ( and I actually managed to pass my idol my present and letter personally heh ). After going there then did I realise that they've hosted stars like Se7en and Shinhwa before, which's really quite a big deal. Thus, I decided to visit this one at Taka too to try their Kimchi fried rice and indeed, it's different from the usual. The rice isn't as cluttered together, and the spiciness was just right. The kimchi and soup are quite ordinary, though. Will choose to go to the main restaurant the next time for other authentic Korean dishes~
