Lazy to cook on a weekday night, i head to California pizza at The Forum. Usually packed with caucasians and singaporeans, the restaurant give me an impression that the food and service was good that's why there is a lot patrons. Service was great as the waiter was attentive to us. We waited around 10 to 15 mins for the pizza. The spaghetti bolognese's tomato sauce was thick and goes well with the spaghetti. The waiter helped us to cut the pizza and served to us. The pizza was thick and generous with meat and cheese. As the pizza was too huge for 2 person so there was left overs and the waiter kindly packed the pizza for us to take away.

Dinner at kobayashi Hangul OK Aug 22, 2011

smileThis is my third visit to this restaurant as I find the price affordable and food has a wide variety, Last visit i ordered the Chicken soup but this time we ordered cold noodles with fried fish, Beef with rice set and Pizza noodles. The concept of this restaurant was like fast food as there was no waitress or waiter and we have to order our food at the counter and they delivered the food to us,.We quite like the Pizza noodles as it was cheesy and creamy, However, the serving was small and not filling if you just order this for dinner. Cold noodles was cold and the texture was QQ. When dip with the cold soya sauce at the side, it was refreshing. For the beef slices with rice, it has a sweet taste and not too raw. It comes with a soft drink if ordered as a set. We only spend $24.90 for 3 person.

Siam Kitchen at choa chu kang OK Aug 17, 2011

shockedUpon entering the restaurant, we were served prawn crackers. It costs around $3 per plate and abit salty but crunchy. The tom yam soup were generous with mushroom, prawns, sotong and a few pieces of sliced fish. It has the right amount of spiciness and saltiness. But i hope their tom yam soup can be more spicy. My friend ate the beef noodles but it was very dissappointing dish. sad It was the first time we tried this dish but the soup was way too salty for us and we felt a waste of money to order this dish as we felt like eating salt. Although it comes with beef meat ball and sliced beef, it tasted worse then the beef noodles at hawker centre. When we confronted the waitress, she said this dish is supposed to be like this. So rude. We only ate half bowl of the beef noodles only and will not order again next time. The pineapple rice was well presented with garnishes like red chilli, lime and cashew nuts. It was better than the beef noodles. For dessert, we shared the Thai red ruby. The ruby taste like small jelly. We ordered too much for 2 person and left feeling very full.

Xin wang cafe OK Aug 17, 2011
Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Restaurant

Xin wang is a hong kong cafe and it was well decorated. It also has hong kong style western food like chicken chop with spaghetti and pork chop with fries. We ordered the spicy minced pork porridge and was glad that it was not too spicy and the porridge was served hot and smooth. We decided to have the luncheon meat with egg sandwich. The bread was soft and the luncheon meat was thick and juicy. To complete the meal, we ordered the Snow ice series with red bean and one scoop of ice cream. The sweetness of the snow ice melts in my mouth. The place has a chill out atmosphere and great to spend a good afternoon with friends just chit-chatting.

Swensons at chinatown point OK Aug 16, 2011

My friend and I worked at chinatown so we went to swenson at chinatown point during our lunchtime. There was a crowd in the restaurant and we had to queue 10 minutes before we can get a seat. We like the dim lighting inside the restaurant and it had a laidback atmosphere. We tried the other swensons outlet and had a pleasant experience but this outlet did not dissapoint us too. There was a set lunch promotion and the chicken baked rice was creamy and i like the cheesy texture on top of the rice. The chicken strips were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. As it was my friend's birthday, we can get a complimentary Fire house happy birthday which consists of 3 scoops of ice cream and half slice of banana with whipped cream and cherry on top! Thanks to the helpful waitress helped us to take picture of me and my friend.
