Went for an afternoon tea here and the place is nice!!

The cafe has a aircon section and a lovely outdoor playground just outside. It's a great arrangement as the full glass windows allow parents (me!) to watch the kids run amok at the outdoor playground - in comfort!!!

As I said, it's only tea and I tried the ham & cheese quiche. But the quiche is good!! Would try the other yummies next time.

I chanced upon this 'hole in the wall' makan place one breakfast hunt and I am so glad I did!

For a small stall with some seating in the stall itself, they sell quite a variety of food. I went for default choice of nasi lemak. And their nasi lemak is really quite something. I mean, I have eaten at so many nasi lemak places so I do know my nasi lemak ok.

Their rice is Pandan green and fragrant! Light to taste and tasty. Just the rice!! The other deciding factor is Chilli and yes, theirs also rock! Tasty and with kick. I don't fancy those sweet chillies that's for fun. The set comes with fresh crunchy Ikan bilis and peanuts, egg and the rest of stuff that is common at all nasi lemak stalls. So no need to mention.

I like the fact that I don't feel 'oily' after the meal. I will so return to savor the rest of the items. Yumz!!

Funny thing is that this stall has promotions and the promotions changes often. Funny because their noodles actually needs no promotion. It's very good.

Their Chilli paste is good, good flavor and has enough kick. They are generous with their ingrediens. The prawns are rather large and the pork ribs are tasty and fatty! Best part is the soup! Fully bodied and robust. I can down bowls after bowls.

There wasn't a queue when I ate there so maybe it's a new stall? Personally I love it! Will return for more.

Buffet dinner with good friends to celebrate the quick recovery of one of the close friend. Supremely lucky to get a table at such short notice as someone cancelled their reservations.

Ikoi has a good spread of yummies as always. You know this because on a Tues night, the restaurant is PACKED!

Ate too much food and loved these very much:

1) Chawanmushi - for a buffet item, it really good. It's got a good size piece of chicken and half a crabstick. The egg is soft and tasty too. As good as the ones I make at home.

2) Fried Fishcake with Cheese - its really the normal Fishcake with a hole in the middle and the melted cheese together with the fried-ness. Nice!

3) Salmon Sashimi - generous, fresh thick slices of salmon yummies. You order by the slices so that awesome!

4) Teriyaki Salmon - they grill the salmon pieces till nicely charred on the edges and the thick teriyaki sauce is a great accompaniment for the taste.

There were many dishes I enjoyed but I couldn't remembered exactly how much I have eaten. It worked out to be about $40 per pax and it's $40 well spent!

Wanted to grab a quick bite so we popped by here as I felt like having chicken rice.

Friend suggested that we have a set each and add a bowl of shuijiao soup.

The set ($6) consist of rice, chicken, vegetables, soup and a drink. Turned out the meal was actually very satisfying. The rice is flavourful, the chicken is tender and the soup is very tasty. The barley drink was very sweet, though. The only gripe I have is the vegetable - it's drenched in oyster sauce.

The shuijiao was not bad as well. The filling is quite enough and without that 'porky' taste.

It's quite good. Won't mind going back again.
