polar puffs are one of my favourites.
costing from 1.20 - 1.60. its cheap and tasty
pastry can be a little thick but flavour is good - curry is spicy and fillings are generous with egg slices , peas, and potato chunks in it are huge.
they have a few variety, including vegetarian puffs

staff was a little nonchalant , had to call her a few times before she came to serve me.

decided to try out this place with recent deal offering a roast chicken, 3 side dishes & a drink for a complete set meal at $12
did not make a reservation when I head down at 8.30pm, only 1 table was occupied, but I was told that I had to wait for an hour for them to roast the chicken. The way they operate is really puzzling.

roast chicken - flavour is good and meat is tender (surprisingly their roasting is good)
side dishes :
potato salad - delicious
garlic rice - okay
vegetables - okay

place is quiet and cushion seating is comfortable. besides their questionable service, overall is okay

Decided to try this hip looking taiwanese cafe at Jcube
colour litted display boards displaying taiwanese characters and icons gives the palcve a cool and hip vibe.
tried their famous beef noodles, like the soup base - its salty and flavourful, meat is a little tough but the soup and flavour made up for it.
my favourits is their beancurd dessert - comes with taro and tapioca balls and red beans like the ones you find in Taiwan
beancurd is smooth and tender and like that is not too sweet.

tried their mango yoghurt with strawberry and walnuts toppings costing 6 dollars for a medium size cup
yoghurt is really very sweet, tasted more like candy to me - I prefer their original flavour
Although serving seems big for a medium size cup, its not filling maybe because its texture is light
Its also not as creamy or thick as yoguru, berrylite & yami
It not here or there, not something I would fancy.
however it is an option you can consider if you like toppings,. the more toppings you get, the more value for money

service staff is friendly. they also have a salad bar and desserts which you can add on to a meal.
place is clean and neat, and they have computer stations where you can surf the net for free

love this mango snow dessert
comes with large chunks of mangoes and chewy white pearls
mango shavings are smooth and soft, like that is not as flaky as some other places
Makes a good light dessert

service is quick though staff can be a bit rushed when I'm trying to place order
we had to pay make payment when our dessert is served.
ambience is okay, can be a bit noisy when crowded
