eskimo bubble tea Smile May 31, 2012

Categories : Taiwanese | Bubble Tea/ Tea

one of my favourite bubble teas got to be Eskimo
at one point I was quite hoooked on their hazelnut oolong milk tea.
love that its milky without loosing its flavour.

for a non-milk option, you can opt for their yakult green tea - yakult helps with digestion and adds sweetness to the green tea.
I also love their silky milk tea option - fresh cream milk atop oolong/ green tea. - drink it right from the cup in the beginning then stir them together.

my favourite durian crepe Smile May 31, 2012

this is my favourite durian crepe at just $1.80
love that they give generous amounts of fresh durian each time
you can opt for the more premium durian - mao shan wang durian for $2.80 each .
crepe is made right on the spot hence the crepe is still warm when you get your hands on it.
warm crepe enveloping a mash of cold flavourful premium mo shan wang durian - what more can you ask for?

really excited to find this taiwanese dessert in Singapore!!.
what is great about this stall is that it has a signature black ball dessert - which is a default choice item, eliminating the fuss of having to decide which toppings/ combination you want.
their signature black ball dessert consists of - yam balls, tapioca balls, corn balls, pearls & grass jelly
I also like that they give you the creamer on the side, hence you can adjust the amount of milk you would like to have in the dessert.

you can opt for it to be served either warm, cold or with shaved ice.
I chose the cold one because my experience in Taiwan was that some places give you a huge chunk of ice piled with sweet syrup which I can get quick sick of.
However, on closer look at other orders with shaved ice, you cant really tell that it has shaved ice, meaning its nicely blended in the dessert!! shall come back next time to try the shaved ice version. Awesome! smile

bubbly tea Smile May 31, 2012

this is one of my favourite places for bubble tea.
milk tea is creamy and flavourful, pearls are also chewy
what I like is that they always have interesting new additions to their range of teas.
however recently i realised that their quality has dip or rather fluctuate.
ordered a strawberry milk tea recently and found it to be really diluted and bland. hope it doesnt happen again.

portugese egg tart Smile May 30, 2012

my favourite portugese egg tart besides the one found in Macau has to be Madeline's
its crispy on the outside, soft and tender in the inside,
very aromatic - it makes a good sweet treat.
Tried both the small & large ones - I found crust for the small ones to be thicker
despite this. im still loving it !smile
