Yummy Japanese Food Smile Jul 09, 2012
Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

As usual, the queue at this place is very long during meal time. Nevertheless, it is worth queuing as the food is delicious. Ordered the unagi don with scambled eggs ($11.90) which I think is kinda value for money as the portion is quite huge. Really full after eating it! Hence, you wanna try a variety of food, do share this with someone. As usual the grilled salmon sushi is on promotion - $0.40 per piece and limited to 2 per pax. Though it tastes as good as before, I feel that the size of the sushi seems to have became smaller.

Tom Yam Bee Hoon Smile Jun 25, 2012

Categories : Thai | Seafood

This is the first time I visit this restaurant and I think that I will definitely come again to try the rest of the dishes as the food and service are generally quite good. I ordered the tom yam bee hoon which is red based (as shown in picture). It is kinda flavourful and there are lot of ingredients. The serving of the bee hoon is also quite big and hence, if you are a small eater, you may want to share it with someone. However, I will not recommend to those who cannot take hot stuff as I think that tom yam soup which is served at this restaurant is relatively more spicy than those which I have tried in other Thai restuarants. tongue

Dinner @ TWG Smile Jun 24, 2012

Not only does this restaurant serves a huge variety of good quality tea, it also serves delicious main course and desserts. Tried the silver moon tea which is green tea based. Personally, I love the fragrance and taste of this flavoured tea. However, I find that the price of the tea is kinda steep as it costs $11 per pot (cannot refill as there is no tea leaf in the pot). Ordered the wagyu burger which I will highly recommend one to try. Though I am not a beef lover, I think this wagyu beef taste really good, to the extent that I don't mind having another patty!

In short, this is a restaurant with nice ambience and which serves good food and tea. Great experience! smile

Weekday Lunch @ Din Tai Fung Smile Jun 24, 2012

Despite being in heartland mall (instead town), it is amazing that this restaurant is crowded even on weekdays lunch time. Nevertheless, it is justifiable that this place is crowded as it serves good food consistently. Instead of ordering the famous Xiao Long Bao, I ordered the shrimp and meat dumplings (as shown in the 3rd picture). I am pleased that the dumplings taste quite good. The chef is very generous with the ingredients. smile Also ordered my favourite egg fried rice which tastes as usual, yummy...

Pasta & Escargot Smile Jun 23, 2012

Despite coming to Dempsey several times for meals, this is the first time I visit this restaurant. I choose the seafood aglio olio as my main course and the escargot as the side dish. Generally, the seafood aglio olio tastes quite good. However, I find that it is kinda oily (think is olive oil) and it is quite expensive. It costs $29 per serving. Besides the prawns, there is also no other ingredients. As for the escargot, it also tastes quite good. I love the green sauce which is cooked with the escargot. Not sure what it is but it tastes kinda yummy!
