Dinner @ Bao Today Smile May 23, 2012
Categories : Dim Sum

If you want cheap and delicious dim sum, I will recommend that you visit bao today. Basically, you can order as much as you want without burning a hole in your pocket as the price is really very reasonable. Most importantly, the quality and taste of the food is not compromise despite the fact that the price is relatively lower.

This is my second time trying the Kong Ba Pau (braised pork belly in black sauce wrap in bun) and I must say that the place serves one of the best Kong Ba Pau which I have ever tried. Other dim sums which I will recommend are the Ha Gow and Carrot Cake.

Tonkatsu is Tonkichi Smile Apr 23, 2012

Categories : Japanese

Famous for its breaded deep fried pork, you must definitely try the tonkatsu if you visit this place. In fact, this restaurant serves a variety of tonkatsu (it is stated in the menu the differences between the various types of tonkatsu). For salad lovers, you will be pleased to know that the salad is refillable.

I have also ordered the tempura udon which tastes quite good. I like that the egg is served runny, and hence, I can mixed the yolk with the soup. However, I feel that the chef can be more generous with the ingredients.

For those who love to dine in restaurants which are beautifully decorated, I will recommend them to visit this place. Simply love the deco of this restaurant!

As for the food, I think it is generally quite nice (though not all are fantastic) but is relatively more expensive than most Chinese restaurants. Something which I will like to highlight is that this place serves Zhai leong (yu tiao wrapped with rice roll) which cannot be found in most restaurants in SG.

If you intend to try their Dim Sum for lunch, do visit this place early to avoid disappointment. Some of the food were sold out when I wanted to order it at around 1plus.

Pu Tien Smile Apr 20, 2012

As expected, the food from Pu Tien never disappoint me. Tried two new dishes - the sweet and sour century egg and egg tofu. Am glad that these two dishes taste quite good. In fact, I think the sweet and sour century egg is quite a unique dish which I have not seen it in other restaurants. Will strongly recommend one to try!

As usual, the restaurant is very crowded during dinner time. Gotta wait about half an hour for seats.

Udders Smile Mar 30, 2012

This is my first time eating the ice-cream from Udders and am glad that it is worth trying. Udders offers many flavours of ice-cream, some of which are quite unique, such as earl grey, snickers, kit kat, etc. As usual, I ordered my favourite Horlick flavour which I simply love it. Round chocolate coated biscuits are added to the Horlick ice-cream so as to make it slightly different from the ones which are served by other ice-cream places. For chocolate lovers, do try the snickers flavour, in which chucks of snickers are added into the ice-cream. Simply yummy!smile
