Hock Lam Beef Noodles Smile May 24, 2012
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Noodles

Though I am not a fan of beef noodles, I must say that the beef noodles from Hock Lam tastes good. The meat is tender and lean. Needless to say, there is a long queue at the stall during lunch time. Despite ordering the small portion (you can choose the medium portion if you are a big eater), the serving is kinda huge. This is perhaps the reason why it is more expensive than the beef noodles which are served than most eateries. Do give it a try and I believe you will like it. smile

Dinner @ Bao Today Smile May 23, 2012

Categories : Dim Sum

If you want cheap and delicious dim sum, I will recommend that you visit bao today. Basically, you can order as much as you want without burning a hole in your pocket as the price is really very reasonable. Most importantly, the quality and taste of the food is not compromise despite the fact that the price is relatively lower.

This is my second time trying the Kong Ba Pau (braised pork belly in black sauce wrap in bun) and I must say that the place serves one of the best Kong Ba Pau which I have ever tried. Other dim sums which I will recommend are the Ha Gow and Carrot Cake.

Carl Jr - Tasty Chicken Tenders Smile May 23, 2012

Heard from my friend that the Chicken Tenders at Carl Jr taste very good and hence, decided to give it a try. Indeed, it tastes better than most of the chicken tenders / nuggets which are served in most places. The chicken tenders are so fresh and juicy. Strongly recommend one to try it.

Given that Carl Jr is having lunch time promotion, I only paid $7.90 for the chicken tenders meal. Super value for money! tongue

Dinner @ Pu Tien Smile May 23, 2012

Love dining at Pu Tien as the food is always so delicious. The fried yam cube (first pic) is a dish which I will strongly recommend to all yam lovers as it tastes really good. In fact, I think I ate about than 10 pieces! The fried bun with meat (second pic) is also very tasty. The serving of the meat is also kinda generous.

Personally, I prefer to visit this restaurant on weekday as the service is better. In fact, the waitress is very friendly and prompt in meeting my request (such as top up drinks, clear plates, etc)

Tiong Bahru Wanton Noodles Smile May 20, 2012

Categories : Hawker Centre | Noodles

Decided to give it a try as I noticed that the queue is always very long during lunch time. Indeed, the wanton noodles is delicious. The owner is also very generous with the ingredients. However, I think it is kinda oily and hence, not very suitable for those who are health / diet conscious. Well, good food is usually unhealthy. tongue

This stall also allows one to order via phone and pick up later. In this way, one can skip the queue. smile
