Oatmeal Raisin! Smile Dec 23, 2011
Categories : American

My friend and I headed to Spinelli on one of the school days to work on our project.
While there, I ordered their Oatmeal Raisin cookies to keep me company.

Their cookies are absolutely huge!!
On top of that, it's simply yummy!
The cookie's not hard but rather chewy, just like how I like them to be.

Never knew Spinelli had good cookies till I tried the Oatmeal Raisin!
Now that I know, I'll definitely head back there just for the cookies and the occasional drink ;)

Fried Mantou! Smile Dec 23, 2011

Categories : Indian | Food Court

As a snack, I ordered 3 fried mantous from this store to be eaten on it's own.
It was deep fried on the spot and when served, was of course very warm and extremely crispy!!
I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into it!
After impatiently waiting a few minutes, I just had to eat it!

Goooooooooooodness, it was so heavenly!
You can literally hear the *CRUNCH* sound when biting into the mantou.
That's how well fried it is and how crispy it is!

Extremely delicious to be eaten on it's own and I'm sure it'll be an absolute delight when eaten with curry as well.
At only $1 for 3 pieces, I'll definitely be coming back for more!

Bak Kut Teh OK Dec 23, 2011
Categories : Singaporean | Chinese | Food Court | Chinese Soup

It's been very long since I last had Bak Kut Teh which is why when I came across this stall, I knew I just had to satisfy that craving!!

The portion is very generous, with huge meaty pieces of pork in the soup.
However there was a thick layer of fats as well on the pork which I suppose is normal for Bak Kut Teh.
The soup tasted rather average and could have been better with the addition of a lot of pepper.

Overall, I think the Bak Kut Teh was of average standards and didn't quite satisfy my craving sad
Definitely have tried better ones before!!

Nasi Padaaaaang! Smile Dec 23, 2011

Categories : Malay | Halal

For lunch today, I had Nasi Padang from one of my favourite stalls in MakanPlace.
I ordered their egg tofu, fried potato, chicken cutlet and curry gravy.

Their egg tofu was yummy though it could have used a bit more flavour.
The fried potato had just been cooked and was very warm and crispy, an absolute delight!
The chicket cutlet, though rather cold, was still slightly crispy and tender. This was very delicious as well!!
The curry made the food all the more flavourful.

This meal was a delight to eat.
Flavour in every mouthful!
YUMMMMMM lol

Nasi Padang! OK Dec 23, 2011

Categories : Singaporean | Food Court | Curries

During my lunch break at work, I went to Banquet in Harbourfront with my colleague to have lunch.
By the time we reached and queued up, there was a lack of variety.
I ended up choosing the egg tofu, chicken nuggets, fried potato and lemak gravy.

The chicken nuggets were yummy!
Although it wasn't warm and crispy, it was very tender.
The fried potato was of an average standard as it was quite soggy and soft.
The egg tofu and lemak gravy were a tad bit too bland sad
Perhaps if I had gotten curry or asam gravy, the food would've tasted better.

Overall, I feel that the food was of an average standard.
Perhaps this was due to the lack in variety of the ingredients available!
