Cheese & Raisin Bread Smile Oct 06, 2011

Categories : Peranakan / Nonya | Bakery | Desserts and Cakes

After visiting my relatives recently, my mum decided to drop by Bengawan Solo to get some snacks before we left for home.
Being huge fans of Bengawan Solo, we had a hard time deciding what to get.

In the end, we got a few different kuehs and the Cheese & Raisin Bread for breakfast the following day.
The Cheese & Raisin bread is surprisingly fluffy and soft yet chewy. The raisin bits in it goes really well with the generous amount of cheese, hence giving a little crunch.

Great for breakfast or teabreak or just to snack on!
Also, do try the coconut bread as it's really yummy as well lol

Chocolate Vanilla Martini Smile Oct 05, 2011

Categories : Bars/Lounges | Hotel

When my cousin came down from Malaysia for a visit, my brother and I brought her to New Asia Bar in the evening for drinks.

They have a wide selection of drinks and many which I've never seen elsewhere before. I had a difficult time deciding upon which drink to order and finally, I succumbed to the Chocolate Vanilla Martini which sounded too good to resist!
The Chocolate Vanilla Martini is a concoction of Ultimat Pure Vodka and Cacao White and is blended very well to serve as a great combination!

At $19 a glass, it might be a tad pricey but it's all worth it when you see the view!
Located on the 71st floor, you'll be offered a breathtaking view of the city skyline which overlooks Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore Flyer among others.

Definitely a great place to watch the F1 or to just go and chill at!!! lollollol

Onion Omelette Smile Oct 05, 2011   (Related Review)

Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Restaurant | Seafood

On yet another visit to Keng Eng Kee Seafood, my family and I ordered an Onion Omelette.

The omelette was served with generous amounts of onions within, giving it a nice crunch. The onions were also cooked well enough so that it didn't taste raw when eaten with the omelette. The omelette served was also of an appropriate thickness.

I doubt that anyone could ever go wrong with Onion Omelettes! As far as I'm concerned, all of the ones I've tasted everywhere has been good. So if you're ever unsure of what to order, get this dish as it won't fail to disappoint! lol

Coco Exotic Smile Oct 04, 2011

Decided upon Coco Exotic as I've tried it on several occasions and it never failed me once.

The cake is filled generously with chocolate mousse and a hazelnut base which gives a great crunch to the cake.

It comes at a very reasonable price for such great taste!

Royal Chocolate Cake Smile Oct 03, 2011

Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Halal

Being a huge fan of desserts, I'm always on the lookout for new places I can try out or new selection from my favourite dessert shops.

I've been to Secret Recipe a handful of times and have never been disappointed by their cakes! Their slices are very huge and generous, enough to be shared between two people and very worth it for it's reasonable price!

On this particular visit to Secret Recipe, I chose their Royal Chocolate cake as it looked too good! From the display itself, I could tell that this cake was going to be a huge hit with me and I was too right!

There were white chocolate bits on top of the chocolatey cake and when I took the first bite, I knew I was in love! The chocolate was rich but not to the point of being overpowering.

Definitely a must try!
