Chicken + 2 side dishes Smile Oct 26, 2011

A few weeks back, I went with my mum to Kenny Rogers.

Once there, I knew immediately what I was going to order.
I got the Half Chicken which came with a choice of 2 side dishes for $25.90 ( Sour Cream & Dill Pasta )

The food came fairly quickly, within just a matter of a few minutes.
My first thought was that the chicken was huge and that I should have gotten the Quarter Chicken instead and boy, was I right!
Anyway, the chicken was very warm and tender and the skin was still crispy, not soggy!
I dug right into the chicken and every bite was heavenly.
The skin was peppered and crispy and went great with the chicken meat.
The chicken was soft yet chewy and was flavourful even on it's own, without chilli sauce.

The Sour Cream & Dill Pasta was really delicious as well.
It was served in a bowl and along with the pasta, there were brocollis, tomatoes and some other vegetables, making it a more healthy meal.
The cream in the pasta was generous but not overpowering and it went really well when paired with the chicken.

Although Kenny Roger's is rather costly, the food served is of great quality and huge portions.
Definitely a wiser choice to share the Half Chicken meal with another person or two! smile

Chocolate Gateau Smile Oct 26, 2011

We bought a Chocolate Gateau cake from Bengawan Solo recently to celebrate a friend's birthday.
It was really chocolatey and yet, not too overpowering and it definitely wasn't too creamy either.

I feel that Bengawan Solo cakes are great for people who don't like very creamy or sweet cakes as they have just the right balance smile

Cinnamon Sugar Smile Oct 25, 2011

During one of my study sessions at Great World City, I had a craving for pretzels and headed for Auntie Anne's.
I got my usual Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel.

As always, the service there is great as the lady is very friendly!
The pretzel is served very warm and soft and there's a generous amount of cinnamon sugar on it.
An absolute delight to eat this, especially on cold days!

Pau! Smile Oct 24, 2011

It was a cold day and I was craving for Pau so I went to Pick&Bite at Makan Place and got myself a chicken pau.

The chicken pau was very delicious.
It was evident that the filling inside was very generous.

The paus were definitely enough to keep me full for a few hours!

A few weeks back, my mum and I went to Tiong Bahru Plaza to catch Johnny English.
Before the movie, we went to Grillers for dinner.

I ordered the Grilled Chicken in Mushroom Sauce.
The grilled chicken served was in a generous portion and it's flavour was brought out by the mushroom sauce which is was drenched in.
There was a huge dollop of mashed potatoes as well at the side.

The chicken was definitely very juicy and succulent and went well with the mushroom sauce.
The mashed potatoes complemented the food well and went great when dipped in the mushroom sauce.

Definitely a place to come to for dinner, with it's great ambience, convenience and good food!
