One thing special about this place is that they offer a free tapas for every drink ordered. The free tapas are tasty little nibblets that don't get you full, so consider ordering full sized tapas.

I wasn't full enough, so I ordered a platter of 6 mini burgers. The meatballs were juicy and the burgers were so much fun to eat!

It's relaxing to soak in the atmosphere, chill and chat while having something to munch on.

Price wise, it's quite expensive, but considered average for food in a bar.

I've always known there was a popular ramen joint in Cuppage Plaza, but somehow never got around to finding out which one it was. All that changed last night. Yes, they open until 2am, late enough to feed your ramen craving after a night in town. It always feels like the lottery to me when I break open ramen eggs with my fork to see if liquid egg yolk oozes out of the boiled egg white. I won the lottery with this one. Certain ramen joints have fully hard boiled eggs in ramen for some unknown reason.

The soup base was not flavourful enough for me and I ended up having to add a lot of spices. It wasn't too salty though, so that's a plus point. There were also about 4 thick slices of cha shu in the bowl which makes it more value for money.

The cafe doesn't see much crowd during dinner. However, the food is not bad, just a little pricey. I love the beef lasagne. It's very cheesy and comes with crispy deep fried noodle bits, making the dish slightly more interesting.

Potato island is worth a try too! It's baked potato with mushroom and ham inside and is equally cheesy. It's a little expensive at about $7+ for two potato halves. Service is impersonal.

As my friend had a $10 Bakerzin voucher, we decided to go there for tea and made our first order of a dessert platter. A woman who came in to pick up her cake left rather angrily after the staff messed up her order.

...Fast forward 20 minutes...

A waitress comes by to ask us "So are you ready for your order?"
We told her we were waiting for our order to arrive. She checked and told us that the order was not reflected in the system at all.

Okay, so it turned out we'd been waiting 20 minutes for absolutely NOTHING, but the waitress came by to offer her most humblest apologies for us waiting, so we decided to wait some more.

Ordered a cookies and cream cheesecake to while the time away.The dessert platter did arrive in the end, but we were not compensated for anything, and had to endure the supervisor admonishing her staff in full view of the customers.

Number 2 rule in customer service and PR - Never, ever, scold your employees in front of customers.

Like others, it will be my last visit to this outlet.

It was for a friend's birthday but the menu was rather small so we decided to splurge and order all the choices for the meat BBQ, a tofu kimchi stew as well as spicy rice cakes. I especially loved their signature red pig pork. The marinade was really delicious! Next we ordered spicy rice cakes. A little expensive at $18 when the base materials are rather cheap. We still enjoyed ourselves nonetheless. Eating tofu stew on a rainy day was comforting and satisfying. It was of just the right taste and we ate it clean.

Service was rather disappointing though. I don't know if they were short handed, but they took very long to attend to our orders, and our tumbler of water took very long to get refilled. The amount of side dishes was limited to just kimchi, onion and cold tofu. No anchovies, no beansprouts, no rolled egg. They were also very slow in giving us refills.
