Lunch Smile Dec 13, 2014

For the main course, I had seafood aglio olio. The pasta was done al dente. It was a little too oily but it tasted really good with the fragrance of the garlic. It was also slightly spicy due to the chilli padi in it. The shrimps were fresh too. This is one of the better aglio olios i've tasted.

Tiramisu was recommended by the waitress. At around $12, it is quite expensive. The tiramisu was really moist. The flavour was light yet it tasted rich with a chocolatey taste.

Ambience is lovely too and I'll be back to try out their other dishes! smile

Dinner Smile Dec 13, 2014

Chanced upon this bar and tried out their main menu items using the entertainer's app. We had the Grilled tuna which was served with black sesame paste that was really sweet and mildly sour. The lotus roots chips were addictive as they were so crisp and definitely made a good tapas. Another item we had was the soba bolognaise. As I heard that it was quite spicy and my partner could not really take spicy food, we requested for less spicy and was told that the spiciness comes from the sauce so lesser sauce would be given. The soba noodle was smooth and went well with the spicy tomato sauce which was really spicy and I loved it. There were some bell pepper in it too and the brinjal was soft and yummy as well.

Recommended!

Fried oyster omelette  Smile Dec 13, 2014

fried oysteromelette $5.50: Because fried oysteromelette tends to be rather oily, I requested for less oil for my order. It was still oily but less oily. The taste was pretty decent as well. The eggs were very flavourful and savoury. The oysters were fresh too. I liked that there were more eggs than starch used. The consistency of the starch was just right too. Overall, this was good.

lor mee Smile Dec 13, 2014

lor mee ($3.50): The original price is $2.50 but I added extra fish nuggets for $1. The fish batter was thin and the flesh was thick so it was worth the add-on. The lor mee gravy did not have starchy lumps too and texture was consistent and smooth. The noodles had a springy texture too and held the gravy well. The minced garlic and chilli boosted the gravy's taste, making it more delicious. Yums!

western bacon combo OK Dec 13, 2014
Categories : American | Fast Food | Burgers and Sandwiches

Had the western bacon combo with cafe latte for $11.50. The burger is basically cheeseburger with bacon and onion ring. The onion ring was already soggy as it was sandwiched between the burger buns and ingredients. The beef patty had a nice smoky flavour. The cafe latte tasted average and the fries were not bad and weren't too oily. It's quite expensive for a fast food meal though.
