One Ton Mee Smile Feb 04, 2013

This Pontian place happens to be one of my lunch places at Far East. Here in Orchard, it is hard to look for something that is cheap and below $5.00, comes with fried and crispy wanton. Pontian Wanton noodles happened to be below that price and I really like it that it is affordable too. Also, you can order a set with a dessert and a tea or coffee if you will like too. I will usually order that as it is very worth it. What’s more? You get to choose the sauce with your wanton mee if you want it spicy, tomato or black sauce.

Ding Tai Fung Smile Feb 04, 2013

Ding Tai Fung is always a good place for Chinese Xiao Long Bao and dumplings. I will always order their popular Xiao Long Baos when I am there as well as their Egg fried rice and spicy wanton. The food never fails to disappoint me and with the quality of Chinese food there, it also explains why the long queue at many outlets. The Xiao Long Baos are made fresh and you can view how the chefs and assistance are kneading the dumplings from the glass window. There have a whole lot more of dumplings and baos to order. I will always order the yam paste bun as well. One of my personal favourite as the yam is so fresh and nice.

Decided to make use of the DBS/POSB lunch special one for one pasta. You can actually choose any of the pasta and its one for one. I ordered the Duck Confit while my friend ordered the pasta seafood tomato. I thought the Duck confit pasta was not too bad. There were generous amount of duck and the pasta tasted not bad. My friend did not really like her seafood pastas and she said that the seafood were not too fresh.

Delicious cafe is one of the my hangout lunch place once in a while. I really like the food served in very big portions of this place. I ordered the chicken sandwich and a truffle fries with mince meat. The portion was really huge. I couldn't even finish. The chicken was a bit salty but the bread was pretty nice. The truffe fries was really good but I really like the minced meat sauce that goes with the fries. It was a bit spicy but it was really good, a must order when you visit delicious cafe. My friend ordered the steak sandwich which was really good as well.

Lunch at Akashi Smile Feb 02, 2013

I went for lunch at Akashi one afternoon. I ordered the tempura bento set which comes with Salmon, sashimi, watermelon, some radishes and miso soup. I really like this bento set as there are so many varieties and I think that it is really worth it. I also ordered the Gyoza for sharing and an additional chawamushi for myself. I always love the food at Akashi due to the quality and to be able to enjoy an authentic Japanese food. I will be back whenever I am craving for some nice warm and great Japanese foo
