Yoguru opens at JEM Smile Jun 22, 2013

Yay!!! Yoguru opens at JEM, so glad they are opening more and more outlets everywhere. Yoguru is one of my favourite yogurt stall. The plain yogurt is one of the best ones i have tasted, not too icy and very smooth and creamy. on hot and hazy weather, i think this is the most ideal snack! despite the outlet not being very big, but they still provided some comfortable seats for their customers. the variety of toppings they have is a lot as well.

peach green tea Smile Jun 21, 2013

This hazy weather is a little irritating to the throat so i headed to gong cha to get myself a cold drink to beat the heat. i ordered their peach green tea. i like this drink, it was absolutely thirst quenching. the green tea was very light and fragrant, mixed with the fruity peach flavour. i ordered 50% and it was just nice, sweet enough to cover the bitterness of the green tea and not too sweet until it leaves you thirsty.

I was not feeling very hungry so i decided to order something light. when i spotted subway, i knew that fitted what i wanna eat. i spotted this promotion sign at the entrance. just nice my 6 inch tuna sub got promo. the price of one ala carte 6 inch is $5, but now you pay $5 and get a free drink along with the sub.

their tuna mayo was really good, very smooth. i like to add pickles, cucumber and lettuce into my sub. their honey mustard is really good. sweet onion goes well with the bread too.

toast Smile Jun 21, 2013

To escape the awful haze, i decided to head to Lot One Shoppers' Mall for tea with my mother. The first thing we saw when we entered the mall was Ya Kun Kaya Toast and we knew that is just the right place for an afternoon tea. I ordered the french toast with kaya. i know it is not as value for money as compared to their toast, but my love for french toast overcame the dilemma.

Their french toast is so fragrant. you can taste the egg that coat their brown bread. the french toast only has a tinge of sweetness, but when dipped with the sweet kaya, it taste just right. i think this makes an excellent afternoon tea!

Bak Kut Teh Smile Jun 17, 2013

Ever since i drank the bak kut teh from Malaysia Boleh, i have been craving for it non stop. their bak kut teh is somewhat different from the ones we have in Singapore. the soup is pretty dark in colour, the herb flavour is much more stronger. for those who do not fancy herb taste may find the taste a little overpowering. the meat is boiled till super tender, it is easily taken out from the bone. as a whole i found this one of the nicer ones i have ever eaten.
