Chickeny Dinner Smile Oct 10, 2012

Categories : Portuguese | Steaks and Grills

Last month, one evening we decided to go to Nando's for Dinner, Nando's being our favourite, we go there often for their 1/4 chicken, though we tried other stuff on their menu too. This time we ordered for 2 1/4 chicks (extremely hot & lemon & herb). For sides we ordered for Garlic bread, Mediterranean rice, fries, bean salad & an extra wedges. We also ordered for bottomless coke. As usual we enjoyed our meal. The chicken was great. The garlic bread was nice & crispy & had butter on it. The Mediterranean rice & bean salad have been a must have for us,they both have mild flavors & are great sides. We also binged on some fries & wedges. Overall great meal smile. The bill came to about 40-45 $.

I recently visited Bengwan Solo since it was my tea time & picked up a snack -Kueh Dadar. It costs just 1.10 $. Its a sweet pancake roll with a coconut filling. The pancake is green in colour. It is a typical pancake & the filling is coconut, sugar & jaggery i guess. Its a bit oily, but OK.

Light Indian Meal Smile Oct 10, 2012

Categories : Indian | Vegetarian

I visited little India few weeks back & stopped at my favourite restaurant ' Namaste India', I thought of having a light dinner there, so I took a seat outside & flipped through the menu & finally ordered for a puri Bhaji. Puri is a deep fried prata & Bhaji is a potato & peas curry. I had asked for it not to be made to spicy. It was served hot & was medium spicy. It has 50% ease & 50% potatoes. The curry is coconut based. The combination of Puri & bhaji is great & a must try at Namsate India. The price of the dish is about 4-5 $. IT is quite a filling meal on its own.

Yum Tarts OK Oct 10, 2012   (Related Review)

Some time back when I visited Little India I stopped by City Square all for some shopping & happened to pass by Fancy Delights & stopped the eye catching tarts on display. They have such a variety of fancy looking tarts. So i decided to buy a normal egg tart. it costs about 1.5 $. I opened it as soon as it was handed over to me & dug my teeth into it. The tart was nice & crunchy, where as the filling was slightly sweet & was filed with egg. However there was lesser filling inside, compared to what I expected. But overall it was a tasty tart.

Tasty snacks Smile Sep 18, 2012

I was shopping In Takashimaya early in the evening & it was mid evening hunger tht attacked me, so I headed down to the basement to pick up a snack, after looking at the variety of snacks available I decided to pick up the mini sausage rolls from St. Leaven. These rolls are practically just 2 bite sized & are over in 2 bites. They have them on offer for about 2.5 $ for 3 mini rolls & about 70 cents for each. The rolls I picked were warm & fresh & smelled like they were freshly baked. The chicken sausage was tasty too. The roll had a nice buttery flavour. I noticed a lot of people buying snacks from St. Leaven, since I had to wait in a queue to pay my bill, but I guess it was worth it smile.
