Yummy Dinner Smile Sep 16, 2012

Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

We were in Tiong Bahriu Plaza to watch a movie at GV & after that we decided to have lunch. We were in the mood for some Japanese food so we headed to Umisushi. I looked at their impressive menu, plus the layout of sushi, Sashmi & salads. I then decided to buy a Umi Sushi Yakiniku beef. It was a combo of Rice & beef. The shredded beef was so perfectly cooked with a yummy soya sauce. It was really very tasty. The jasmine rice too, topped with black sesame was so tasty & went well with the beef, we had it with soya sauce, wasabi sauce, vinegar & some mashed potato. The

combo costed about 5 $.

Tea & Snack time Smile Sep 16, 2012

Last month I visited Little India for some grocery shopping. I stopped by Big Bites there for my evening cup of tea & some Indian snacks. I was in a hurry so I just had tea there. I ordered for a masala tea which is a spicy milk tea brewed with a couple of spices such as cardamon, cinnamon, cloves etc....It was strong & a perfect drink after a tiring day. I also picked up dhokla which is a gram flour steamed cake. It was soggy & soft & really yummy. I picked a dal wada too, which is a deep fried pattie made of pulses & spices. It was spicy & let alot of green chillies in it. Both snacks were fresh & tasty. The food at Big bites is cheap I hardly paid less then 5 $ for a cup of tea & 2 snacks smile

Last month I had some work in Suntec City mall hence had gone there. I went there after work & was really hungry, so as soon as I reached i decided to grab a bite. I spotted 8 Tarts & pastries so just headed there & the chicken mushroon puffs really caught my attention, so i bought one. The puff is really crispy & crunchy from the outside & the filling was awesome inside too. I am a great mushroom fan so loved it. it was a creamy chicken & mushroom filling seasoned with black pepper. Yummy filling & overall too it was a tasty & great snack. It is cheap too, about less than 2$.

Rose Milk Smile Sep 04, 2012

I recently went to Little India for shopping & stopped by Namaste India for a refreshing drink at their juice counter on the outside of the Restaurant. They have a couple of juices. I saw the rose milk in the juicers, so decided to try one out. It costs about 1.5 $ only. It was served chilled. It was rightly sweet & is a perfect drink to beat the summers. The rose flavour also adds to the freshness of the drink.

I was on my way home from work & I stopped by Plaza Singapura for a snack & looked around for snack options at Basement 2. I finally spotted Mos burger & decided to try out their croquet. It is just 2$. It is is veg croquet, more like a hash brown with some minced veggies & spice. It tasted great & is an amazing veg snack. Just a little oily, since it is deep fried, but was awesome.
