Carrot cake

Carrot cake

Carrot cake, Singapore delicacies. I had carrot cake from Amk market place. It's quite well known and always having long queue. I ordered the original carrot cake, for $2. They come with different price $2,3,4 which determines different portion too.
It is tasty and not oily. I saw how the person cooked. They cooked in a very big portion which forms a gigantic carrot cake on the pan and divide respectively according to customer's order.
They are fast and efficient.

MIlk tea

MIlk tea

Bubble tea again~ I'm a student of NYP and my faculty is near south canteen. This is like my daily routine of buying a cup of milk tea before I head to lecture or tutorial. This can be a substitute for my normal meals if I had to rush for class.
My favorite drink is milk tea with nata de coco filling. I choose nata over pearl because pearl are fattening and have more calories then nata.
However, if given a choice I would choose pearl because it's more chewy and tastier. Nata tends to be more bland and stick to your teeth after much chewing.
It's cheap and a all time favourite in campus.

Spending per head: Approximately $1.50

Herbal jelly milk tea

Herbal jelly milk tea

GONGCHA FTW. I'm a fan of bubble tea. I have to control my intake of bubble tea. I drink almost thrice a week. It's bad for health. High sugar intake which makes me grow horizontally each day.
Among so many bubble tea outlets, I rate Gongcha as the no.3 choice. My first is Chatime, KOI then Gongcha. I always order Herbal jelly milk tea. It's not as sinful as drinking pearl milk tea as pearl is high in carbohydrate as it is made from starch. I guess herbal jelly is more healthy. That's my perception. It makes me feel happy after drinking, especially during a hot and humid day.

Indulge in Pastries

Indulge in Pastries

My very first visit to Cafebiz, an international buffet restaurant. I love the food there. A sinful day but an enjoyable one. I love their pastries section and chocolate fondue.. I'm a person with sweet tooth. Their pastries are beautifully made. It's in very small portion but the taste is heavenly. It gave me sugar rush for a moment after eating pastries that are chocolate based. Tiramisu and green tea cakes are nice too.
Besides pastries, some of the proper dish I've tried are salmon, laksa, muscles, salad, dim sum such as siu mai and crystal dumpling also known as hao kao.
It's definitely worth the price compared to other buffet I've tried. The crew are efficient and polite too. Leave space for expansion in your stomach before heading down for the buffet. Cheers.

HIckory BBQ chicken

Aston's Again~ Aston's twice in a row. I ordered Hickory BBQ chicken with two(2) side dish, french fries and tasty rice, respectively.
Aston's have a lot of varieties for side dish. It is categorize into hot and cold dishes. They include hot: French fries, onion rings, corn, tasty rice, mashed potato, etc and in the cold dishes they have potato salad, fruit salad, etc.
I usually order hot side dish as I'm not a fan of salad. But, I've tried their potato salad before and it's really nice. It's a satisfying meal worth the price.
