Loving the lunch set! Smile Feb 28, 2013

I dont know whats the fuss about for this Vietnamese restaurant. Always seeing people quieng up during lunch time.. maybe its just a culture for singaporeans.. we like to que.. something which i wont understand..

so since you cant beat them, you join them... besides, i never tried viet food yet til today.. Apparently they have a set lunch promo going on. 10 bucks for a drink, main and a side dish.. but not much option to choose from. Either the beef or the chicken noodle.

Didnt fancy the prawn rolls, hard for me to chew but the noodles were great for me.. Sweet, sour and at the same time spicy. Was sad that the Vietnamese iced coffee served was like less than 3/4 of the cup! Sad because it was really good.

Will come back again of course.. but this time i wonder if they accept reservations during lunch.. hmmm...

This cafe has become one of my favorite place to go for good coffee. The ambiance is so warm in the evening. I love how the lit all the candles everywhere in the Cafe. An ideal place for a date i have to say.

This is one of their competition coffee, Chili Chocolate Mocha. Served with a cinnamon stick which can also be usea as a stirrer. I love how you can taste the 'spice' from the chilli but definitely not something everyone will enjoy. My friend find it too acidic for her own liking.

Another one that I fancied was their Chocolate mint coffee. This coffee got antioxidants because of chocolate. You get energized because of coffee. Plus the greens in the coffee gives you a great boost which are mint leaves.

It's quite a good place to chillout. Definitely coming back for more.

So i recently visited this newly renovated hawker centre. I can safely say it looks much cleaner than it previously was before.
I got to know from a friend that this stalls serves cheap Char Kway Teow and i was surprised that it is really cheap.. for my standard that is.. only 2.50!

This dark, glistening Kway Teow is mixed with black sauce which is not too sweet was served with generous amount of cockles and chilli! I specially requested for no chinese sausages and they were nice to give me extra fishcakes! Surprised there were no prawns but still.. its good enough for me!

The last time i tried Swensen's Clam Chowder in their bread bowl. I could barely finish at least half of it.
This time round, i was surprised that i finished every bit of it, down to the very last crumb.

I only enjoy mushroom soup that is mushroom blended. Its has lots of flavor and the portion was just nice enough for me. Or maybe i was being greedy mode. But i do see people sharing this.

Not my day to have a good hearty meal ..I had a very unsatisfying lunch.. so i decided to head down to Blic.. and then again.. an unsatisfying dessert.

For me... Its the waffles, I love Blic's ice creams especially the Ferrero Rocher flavored. They have different flavors ranging from the classic like Vanilla Beans to the exotic Mao Shan Wang Durian.

But the waffle was just disappointing for me. Not only that it took long to prepare the waffles, it was thin. There wasnt much of it to eat.. it was like a biscuit instead. sad
