Today, I am at Orchard Road and looking for some local hawker food after shopping.

I realize that this hawker stall selling Red Residue Sliced Fish Soup Mee Sue which is not easy to find it. It contains of slices of fish, vegetables, eggs and Red Residue. As what I known that the Red Residue is come from homemade Rice wine. Surprisingly that the combination of the fresh fish and the noodles soup are matching perfectly that make this fish noodles soup becomes very delicious without any stingy smell. I like it.

The price is $3.00 per bowl.

MINI WOK NOODLES OK Aug 13, 2012
Categories : Food Court | Noodles

The evening, I order Mini Wok Noodles for my dinner. I choose Kuay Diao which is serve in dry with chili.

The soup contains of minced pork, fish ball, meat ball, fish cake, seaweed, vegetables and spring onion.
The big fish ball and the meat ball are very tender and chewy.

I personally find that the minced pork contains a lot of fat which I do not really like it and I believe that it is not very healthy. Overall, this noddle soup taste good.

The price is $4.50/5.50 depends on the size.

Nowadays I hardly patronize Tze Char stall.

This evening, I decide to have Tze char cuisines and it provides more than twenty Tze char dishes. Every dish is look very delicious to me. At last I order Ee-Mian with Seafood. It contains of prawns, fish cake, crabmeat, vegetables and eggs. The noodles, Ee Mian are a bit hard and crispy dry, but it is perfect matching with the gravy soup and the noodles become soft and chewy. I like this seafood noodles which is savory.

The price is $4.50 per bowl.

ICE KOPI MELAKA OK Aug 09, 2012

This is a traditional local coffee add with coconut sugar and ice. I have been told that the invention of the serving drinks is original from Malacca more than several decades ago. Due to the coconut sugar it has a very special fragrant sweet smell. In fact, not everybody can accept the taste. Eventually, people make it icy and drink, it becomes perfectly good taste; but there are still a lot of people like the hot serving.

I like the cold drink especially during this extreme hot weather.

The price is $3.20 per glass.

TAU SUAN OK Aug 09, 2012   (Related Review)

This evening about 9pm, after exercise, I step into this food court to look for hot desserts.

I order Tau Suan (Green Bean paste). Since it is near to closing time and I notice that the toppings have large amount of left over. Then I request more for the toppings (yao zha guah) and the friendly staff generously give nearly double of it.

Tau Suan is one of my favor hot desserts. This bowl of Tau Suan has fragrant smell and without any charred smell. As cooking paste is easily get a smell of burnt. The heat and time must be control well in order to achieve good smell without scorched. It is really delicious

The price is $1.50 per bowl.
