VEGGIE DELITE Smile Aug 22, 2012

smile

This afternoon, we join the excursion to The Old Tanjong Pagar railway station. Before the outing we go to nearby outlet to get some sandwiches for our lunch.

As my knowledge, Subway provides healthy food. We order the one foot longs Veggie Delite sandwiches and ask to cut into two pieces. It indicates that it contains less than 6 grams of fat.

Veggie Delite is a delightfully crunchy fresh combination of garden fresh lettuce, tomatoes, green peppers, onions, olives and pickles-jalapeno and the choice of 7 condiments, I pick Chipotle Southwest and Mayonnaise served on freshly choice of 5 baked bread, I pick Honey Oat. It’s just like a big salad sandwich. The taste is really good and the amount is large enough to treat as a meal-well nourished.

The price is $8.00 for a foot longs sandwiches.

I re-visit this stall located at Somerset 313.

This time I wish to experience their traditional craftsmanship of baking. As I know it is healthy sorts of bread that we can enjoy their hearty focaccia variations or sweet snacks are continuously being baked using all-natural ingredients, without any additives.

I decide to buy two buns of Brown Bread. As I am a bit hungry I get one and eat it without any conserve, it tastes very good too and much enough to fill up my empty stomach. I feel very satisfactory on it.

The price is about $1.50 per bun.

FRESH NATURAL BAKERY-WHITE BREAD Smile Aug 22, 2012

Today I pass-by this stall located at Somerset 313.

It displays plenty of Bread which is fresh from the oven and using all-natural ingredients. Extract from their advertisement: ‘’Always freshly baked, using traditional baking skills - without any additives or other supplements. Enjoy our hearty focaccia, seasonal bread variations and many more delicious baked goods.’’

Once I knew that they produce healthy sorts of bread and everything is available as take-away. I decide to buy a loaf white Bread and carry the fragrance smell all the way back home. I spread and try on all types of conserve, like jam, peanut butter on the bread and put into the oven for a couple of minute and make it crispier and hot. The taste of the bread is fantastic good. It is worth to get it.

The price is about $4.50 per loaf depend on the size.

This stall is located at Kaki Bukit 511 Market and Food Centre. Bedok North

This evening we go to Bedok to have our dinner. We order the barbeque chicken wings.

The chicken wings are well marinated and skillfully barbeque into golden brown color without any scorched which is looked so attractive and can increase our appetite. The meat is very juicy tender and delicious.

The price is $1.20 per piece and minimum order is two pieces.

This store is located at Kaki Bukit 511 Food and Market Centre, Bedok North.

The stall serves Pork, Chicken and Mutton Satay.

We order the Chicken and Pork Satay. The fresh thickness meat is to string up on the stick which is very tender and juicy. The Ketupat (rice wrap with Banana leaves) is good with a fragrance smell. I personally find that these satays are one of the best in town. The satay gravy is perfectly done.

The price is $0.50 per stick.
