It was a totally new concept of BBQing over at the Seoul Garden at City Square Mall. Instead of the usual DIY concept where diners have to take their own food from the buffet table, they can now sit down in comfort and choose the food they want from a computer and they would be served. Sound like something great, especially for people who are lazy and wish to be served. However, one has to be very patient because one may have to wait for nearly 30 minutes for the food to be served, i.e if one is lucky. If not, the order may never even come, especially during peak hours. Portions of food are also limited and miserable. Guess I still prefer the DIY style.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf just launched the Cookies & Cream series and being a total sucker for this flavour, I would definitely try it. I actually chose the one with the coffee base over the milk base and it was rather one bad move. The coffee base was too strong and it covered the sweet taste of cookies and cream. In the end, it was just like another coffee drink. I would definitely try the milk base if I have the chance.

Favourite Oreo Cheesecake OK Jul 04, 2011

Being a big fan of Oreo and cheesecake, I'll definitely not give this sweet combination a miss. At first sight, the cake seemed to be overloaded with Oreo topping which was, of course, an incentive. However, upon taking the first bite, the cake tasted rather heavy with the cheese. It left a rather dry effect in the mouth. Perhaps they should have gone easy on the cheese sad

I thought the mini tom yum hotpot looked rather appealing as dinner so I decided to give Siam Kitchen a try. The hotpot set consisted of a bowl of rice and tang hoon, plus a plate of vegetables, prawns, chicken and fish. It was surprisingly filling and the only minor spoiler was that the hotpot was rather small and I couldn't put all the food items at one go.

J Co is not only a place with yummy doughnuts, it is also where one can get great cooling beverages. My first drink was Caffe Avocado with lots of whipped cream. It was definitely something different from the usual coffee drinks found at other coffee joints. And with heaps of whipped cream and chocolate pieces, this is definitely one recommended drink smile
