It was my boss's treat at Bosses in celebration of a happy occasion. I really like the interior atmosphere of this restaurant, black and silver. I also like its translation in Chinese, haha. The lunch was great, we had a wide spread, as shown in the pictures, and they speak a thousand words.

The highlight was the famous steaming hot custard buns. I call them the Chinese dessert of molten lava cake. The rich custard oozed out as I tore the bun into half.

This Koi has an exceptionally long queue! Especially on a weekday during lunch hours. Since I was waiting for a friend, I thought I would queue anyway.

I ordered the coconut jelly milk tea, without any pearls, 25% sugar level. The tea aroma was fragrant, I like the coconut jelly. I wouldn't make it a point to drink bubble tea on a regular basis though.

Popeyes Smile Aug 29, 2011

I had my lunch out after school with my classmates. I had a 2 piece chicken meal this time. My favorite part of eating at Popeye’s is the biscuit, I like how it's milky, warm, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, it has the bursting 'melt in your mouth' effect, bonus with the strawberry jam.

The chicken was pretty good too, though I'll actually still prefer my all-time favorite chicken tenders, excellent too but easier to have and healthier I feel. The Cajun fries were yummy as usual.

Peach Garden  Smile Aug 29, 2011

This is a little backtracked; I remember having a high tea buffet here on a Sunday. It was a Cantonese affair buffet. It ranged from a wide variety: char siew pao, siew mai, pork ribs, har gow, century egg congee, fried taro, fried cheese balls, egg tarts and the list goes on.

Peach Garden has good customer service. For the dim sum, what they did was that the staff came around with trolleys serving dim sum right to your table. They also made it a point to refill our tea cups. There was also a buffet area, for varieties like fried tofu, noodles and congee. It could be self-help but there'd also be staff to assist you.

For dessert, there were cold ones like ice-cream and fruits, hot ones like bobo cha cha.

Spize The Makan Place Smile Aug 29, 2011

One of the choices for supper at 5am after a night out. I ordered the Ayam Nasi Goreng, fried rice with fried chicken, specifically less oil. But I reckon it turned out the same anyway.

The nasi goreng was decent to me, not fantastic but good enough to fill up my tummy as I didn't have any dinner. The ayam was oily and crispy.

I'd say that this will be an ideal place for supper as options are narrower but definitely not a place for dinner when I would have many better alternatives.
