I am attracted by the special offer, $5.70 for 3 flavors. It’s quite crowded in front of the ordering counter. Their ice cream is soft and creamy. I’ve tried the cookies and cream, taste nice. It’s melts very fast in your mouth. I like the crispy biscuits that they put on the top of the ice cream, very crunchy and it’s very nice to go with the ice cream. You could use it as a spoon too. I will definitely visit this stall again for the good quality of ice cream.

Perfect dining place Smile Jun 23, 2011

Categories : Spanish | Bars/Lounges | Paella

Went there for a relax dinner with my friend. I like the sofa seats although it’s a bit low. But it’s comfortable and make you feel like your own home. When it’s reached 8-9pm there, you will see a live band singing Spanish songs on the stage. It’s very relaxing and calming sitting there enjoying my dinner. Their service is good.

I’ve ordered their homemade fried fish cake. It’s crispy outside but very soft inside. The portion is not so big since it’s the appetizer. I’ve ordered the seafood paella as well. The rice is fragrance and it’s not too bad. I’m expected the seafood is cooked with the rice. Apparently, it’s just being boiled and put on the top of the rice. Its looks a bit plain and it’s not tasteless if you just eat it without the rice. I feel a bit of disappointed on this. The stir fried mushroom is fantastic. It’s juicy, soft and simply seasoned with black pepper and cooked with some olive oil. Simple and taste absolutely delicious. A small plate as well, a good appetizer as well. It’s come down to the dessert, the Churros with chocolate always my pick. The hot and crispy Churros is taste light salty and the chocolate is sweet. It’s a perfect combination. The drinks that they served are nice, pick your favorite cocktail, mocktail, beer or wine and enjoy there.

Big meal @ Kim Gary  Smile Jun 21, 2011

It’s always long queue here when it’s reached lunch time and dinner time. Their menu is a bit complicated. Too many different menus, I almost took like 15mins to read every menu that they have.

I’ve tried the Seafood hotplate where you can find the grilled salmon, scallop, squid, octopus, mussels and potatoes wedges on the plate. The portion for the potatoes wedges is almost half of the plate but it’s nice. The grilled salmon is slightly overcooked. The octopus is my favorite but its pity little on the plate. The grilled corn is juicy, I like it. The tempura mussels are too dry for me. I’ve ordered the seafood curry as well. It’s a very big bowl of curry that covered by the pastry. The pastry is nice and tasty to go with the curry. The portion is too big for a person, better to share. I do not like the potatoes skins that they served. The skin is too thick, feel like eating potatoes wedges. The filling not really match the potato skin.

Nice Meal @ Pasta de Waraku Smile Jun 15, 2011

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant

The food that i found in Pasta de Waraku food is normally nice presented on the plate and the taste is delicious. The display of the pasta on the walls is always attractive for me.

I’ve tried their fried calamari, nice to go with the mayonnaise. I like the herbs on the crispy crust of the calamari. Good for sharing if you find yourself is lazy to chew all calamari by your own. tongue

Their curry fried rice is nice too. But the portion looks a bit small for guys. I’ve try their another dish, grilled salmon with squid ink pasta. I love the squid ink pasta so much. I never have a thought of it could be so nice before. But the salmon is slightly overcooked, not that moist as I thought. But overall I am satisfied with the food here. The service is up to standard. smile

Dim Sum  Smile Apr 25, 2011

Categories : Coffeeshop | Dim Sum

The Dim Sum that they sell are almost the same as the Dim Sum that you can find at the Dim Sum stalls nearby that called Hong Ho Phang Hong Kong Tim Sum. Heard from the neighbors that the owners of both stalls are brothers, they split and open their own stall. This Dim Sum stall is selling more variety of Dim Sum and they sell porridge also. I like the porridge that with cooked with minced pork and century egg. Their Dim Sum is okay. You can find many types of Dim Sum here but they are famous with the Siew Mai, Char Siew Bao and the Mai Kai. The price is average and affordable. They sell Dim Sum all day long till dinner time. So you can have Dim Sum all the time.
