Indobox, as the name suggests, is an Indonesian eatery for casual dining. While soaking in a contemporary environment, one is able to indulge in authentic and traditional Indonesian specialties such as Sate, Gado Gado, Tahu Telor and many more. It is operated by Katrina Holdings Pte Ltd who owns Bali Thai, RennThai, Streats, Honguo, Hutong, Muchos, So Pho and Bayang.

I had an Ayam Penyet Set ($10.8) while Fatin had her Bak Mee Ayam Pangsit ($9.5). Tahu Telor ($8.5) was meant for sharing, but I had to finish it up all by myself in the end.

Food tasted pleasing and ambiance was rather comfortable. Pricing was affordable and Indobox is also Halal certified as well.

"Welcome to the Land Of Smiles", that's what Siam Kitchen aims to achieve through their authentic Thai cuisine by bona fide chefs from Thailand. Siam Kitchen has three outlets across our sunny island - NEX, Lot 1 Shopper's Mall and City Square Mall. However, I am a little unsure about the availability of their fourth outlet at East Point Mall.

They have an extensive menu for salads, mains and drinks, thus were we spoilt for choices. First world problems. Nevertheless, we each ordered our main and had some dishes for sharing.

Green Curry Chicken ($10) and Tom Yum ($8.9) were mandatory. Spicy Minced Chicken Ball ($8.5), Sambal Kangkong and Seafood/Meat Platter for additional portions.

Portions were small and taste was decent. No complaints for food but their service can be improved and hastened a little for a better experience. So if you are looking for a no fuss and casual Thai dining experience, this is the place for you.

One of my favourite comfort food on chilly nights - Bak Kut Teh. Located a stone throw away from Wilkie Edge is House of Bak Kut Teh where I satisfied my craving for Bak Kut Teh.

Instead of having a regular peppery based pork ($7)/short ribs ($6) soup, I went for their Bak Kut Herbs Bowl ($8) that was served with pork ribs. Together with it were the bean curd skin and golden mushroom.

Pork ribs were cooked till perfection as I managed to pull out the bone while keeping the springy textured meat intact. However, the soup had nothing to rave about.

A mandatory dish to order during my Bak Kut Teh visits is the Braised Pork Knuckle ($6.5). Pocket friendly pricing, but mediocre standard. Despite of the decently braised meat, keeping it a longer in the cooking pot to further breakdown the fats and skin would have sealed the deal for me.

Chuen Chuen Chicken Rice At Lorong Sarina (Changi Road)

Chicken Rice is one of Singapore's national dishes and is served in a few varieties - Roasted, Braised and Steamed. Today, I am here at Chuen Chuen Chicken Rice is located at Lorong Sarina which is along Changi Road. They have another two outlets at Balestier Food Market and Bugis.

Besides chicken rice, other side dishes such as Dumpling Soup, Oyster Sauce Vegetable, Bean Sprouts, Chicken Gizzard and many more are available too.

The roasted and steamed chicken looked succulent and appetizing! We (Myself and Julian) ordered half of a roasted chicken ($14) and a bowl of dumpling soup ($5). However, never judge a book by its cover. Despite the visual appeal, it was rather salty.

Located on the third level of Hotel Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy, Feast @ East offers a great selection of classic Singaporean and delightful Peranakan cuisine to delight your nostalgic taste buds. The highlight of this buffet will be their ever-changing buffet selection to pamper customers. For consistency, All-time favourites such as Singapore Laksa and famous Durian Paste are available daily for during lunch and dinner!
Went for the kill at the seafood station! Freshly steamed cold mud crab and scallop, can't get any better than that! Crab was sizeable (about 350-450grams), value for money for such buffet standard.
I had other options from the cooked food segment and of course their Signature Singapore Laksa! Colour of the gravy was on point and the rest was history. Indeed living up to its name as Feast At East's All Time Favourites.
If you are a cake and kueh lover, their dessert bar is one not to miss! The one worth mentioning was the Durian paste. Not compromising on the quality, this purée was thick and rich with durian! I would be lying if I said I stopped at one serving. Even if I didn't had an extra room for desert, I will make sure I have some that night!
Overall, an ideal place to get together with family and friends for a nice meal where you can relax and take your time to enjoy the entire buffet selection repeatedly at your desired pace.
