Changi Village, one of my favourite night spots and termed as the mecca of Nasi Lemak. With a few vendors within a small plot of land, it's all about survivor of the fittest! However, after years of stiff competition (still on going), these stalls have earned their strips and own followers.
Rice had hints of pandan leaves fragrance wrapped with coconut milk. However, it was just a tad too moist. Chilli had a good punch of spiciness and traces of sweetness. Coupled the dish was their insanely crispy ikan billis and peanuts, and mouth-watering crispy chicken wings.
Overall, not the sort of nasi lemak to die for, but still a decent one. Sitting at the top of my Nasi Lemak list and unchallenged will be Nasi Lemak Kukus along Thomson Road.

The story of Doi Chaang Coffee started around 1983 in a small village that is set in the mountainous region of the Chang Rai province of Northern Thailand. Home grown and cultivated by the Akha people, the Doi Chaang Village is home to 8,000 people within eight hundred families, all living and primarily working together to cultivate and produce a premium organic, single estate Arabica coffee.
Design of the outlet was kept simple and neat, likewise for the menu which sells beverages, wraps, cakes and a small selection of pastries.
It is said that Doi Chaang Coffee are naturally low in caffeine, that's probably one of the reason why I found it 'sweeter' than expected.
Nothing fanciful and special about Doi Chaang in general. More likely a comfortable place to chill if you aren't fussy with the drinks and food.

Full Review at http://lepakwithyaops.com/802-tampines-famous-rojak-delicious-mess

First post about Rojak, but definitely not my first try on this local delicacy! This delicious mess is a traditional fruit and vegetable salad dish commonly found in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. The term "rojak" is Malay for mixture and is commonly a toss of beansprouts, greens, tau pok (or deep-fried soybean cake), you tiao (crispy long strip of fried flour), pineapple, cucumber, and a generous sprinkle of finely chopped roasted peanuts with a fermented prawn paste sauce.
Alternative to the traditional rojak will be the you tiao rojak. As the name suggests, this is for people who wants enjoy the taste of the paste, but only tossed with you tiao and tau pok.
I've eaten some that tasted horrible, simply odd tasting which was left untouched after a couple of bites.
The portion of you tiao served here are relatively large and more importantly, crispy! Shiok to the max!

Katong Laksa...hmm...the battle is still on till today (but cordially)! So who is the real mastermind behind "Katong Laksa" - 328 Katong Laksa, Roxy Laksa, Junggut Laksa or Marine Parade Laksa??? To spare the you the confusion, Junggut Laksa (related to Roxy Laksa) is the real original Katong Laksa and was previously known as Marine Parade Laksa.
Here I am, at the oldest laksa in Katong: Janggut Laksa - The OrginalKatong Laksa!
Being a fan of coconut milk based food, Laksa is definitely top of the list. While it is essential, having the proportion is key! I'm neither a chef nor one who experiments with cooking, but the secret to a good bowl of gravy lies in the Rempah (Spice Paste) and I believe fresh ingredients are essential.
Similar to coaching (I'm a sprints & strength coach if you have not realized), there are many good training methodology and techniques out there, but introducing too many at the wrong time and amount can lead to adverse outcomes. In other words, this explains Janggut Laksa's popularity and longstanding in this business.
Truly legendary and satisfying!

Partnering with his wife, Joe decided to have his own Thai eatery after working at Parkway Thai Restaurant for 6 years. Being a chef and Thai himself, he sure knows what it takes to create authentic Thai cuisine that captures the hearts of Singaporeans. This hidden gem is located along the road side right opposite Alexandra Hospital.
The food here were undoubtedly delicious, however, were a little 'heavy' compared to else where. For instance, the green curry was thicker, the basil flavour was overpowering for the basil leaf pork and Tom Yam had too much of a kick. Basically, if the chef could hold back 10% of intensity, I would had enjoyed it thoroughly!

Price and portion were reasonable. So for those who prefers their Thai food to be heavy and intense in flavour, Joe's Kitchen is for you!
