Ais Kacang Smile Nov 29, 2021

I think Sing Heng's Ais Kacang is one of the better ones you can get in Singapore. The shaved ice is actually very fine and smooth. Melts immediately in your mouth. Red beans are also nice and crunchy. Really refreshing to have it with your lunch.

Awesome place for casual dinning Smile Aug 16, 2021

Canopy is an awesome place for casual dinning. Nestled right in the heart of bishan park, most diners (if not all) are casually dressed and with their dogs. Yes - this place is pet friendly, so be prepared for occasional dog hostilities. Food is a little pricy but ambiance, quality of food and service makes up for it. Menu is limited but this is what you get for a casual dinning place. Red meat dishes are little short given the price so I would recommend to stay away. Burgers are good but my favourite is the chicken parmigiana. Serving is generous with big slab of chicken (breast meat) and rich in cheese. House wines are also great and a good compliment for my favourite dish. Totally at ease here with no time pressure.

Value-for-money Steaks! Smile Dec 28, 2014

Collins has become my favourite "steakhouse". The food here is better than more established names such as Astons and Botak Jones.

I always go for their sirloin steaks or lamb chops, which in my opinion is cooked to perfection, as good as you can get from 5-star steakhouses, at a fraction of their prices.

I find myself ordering their lamb chops more often. Do take note, that this item sells out often, particularly on weekends. The lamb is well marinated and cooked (grilled) to perfection. Topped with pepper sauce and served with chips and coleslaw, servings are generous; always sufficient to fill me up (and I am a big eater).

Whenever I feel like having western food and feel lazy to dress up, I simply head over to Collins!

Hidden gem Smile Jan 10, 2022

This is really the place to go if you are someone who likes to dine in peace with no hustle-and-bustle.
Great thing is the food is competitively priced and good. Menu is extensive with both western and Chinese dishes.
Also the best place to go on a first date - provided you have wheels-smile

Categories : Hainanese | Hawker Centre | Chicken Rice

This is simply the best chicken rice you can find in Singapore.

What makes it so special? A winning combination of all factors central to making a good chicken rice:
i) meat
The chicken is most tender and well cooked (reference to the steam chicken). The special mixture of oyster sauce and sesame oil adds extra kick to the tastiness of the meat.
ii) rice
Rice is also the most fragrant you can find in town. Soft, little sticky and smells (and taste) so good.
iii) chilli sauce
I don't normally take spicy food but whenever I'm at Tian Tian, I flood my chicken rice with the chilli sauce. Not overly spicy and just the right level of sweetness.

I always have my chicken rice with the baby "kai lan"; also another winner here. Steamed to perfection and garnished with perfect blend of oyster sauce (again).
