Masala Thosai Smile Mar 08, 2015
Categories : Indian | Hawker Centre

This market is quite crowded on a Sunday morning. The carrot cake stall is popular, but I decided to go for Indian.

I ordered the masala thosai for breakfast as I haven't had it for quite some time. Although there was no queue, I had to wait quite a fair bit compared to if I had ordered other food.

It was freshly made, filling and quite yummy.

Cheesy Omelette! Smile Mar 01, 2015

Categories : American | Japanese | Restaurant | Pasta | Steaks and Grills

I don't really like dining in Pepper Lunch restaurants because you'll come out smelling of food. But anyway, I decided to have dinner there and tried the cheesy omelette, which I didn't see in the Express outlets in food court.

You can choose the meat and sauce you want. I went for beef slices with curry. I love cheese and eggs and Japanese curry. Putting them all in a plate is awesome.

There's no service charge in the restaurant, but prices are still higher than the food court. I guess you're paying for them to bring the food to your table. You still have to order and pay at the counter.

More Biscuit than Pizza Smile Mar 01, 2015

Categories : Pasta

Skinny pizza is famous for it's thin and crispy crust. However, by my definition, this is not a pizza. If it is, it is an extremely poorly executed pizza. You are supposed to eat pizza by hand, or at least, you should be able to eat by hand. At Skinny Pizza, you have to use fork and knife because the pizza falls apart when you try to pick it up.

That said, I do find their pizzas pretty tasty and the combination of ingredients unique. I like those pizzas with Asian twist which I think can't be found in many pizzerias. For CNY, they released a 5 spiced pizza! It was yummy. I think that their sides such as truffle fries are pretty overpriced.

Service is okay. I think it's ridiculous how they charge 50 cents for water. 10% discount if you're a True Fitness member!

红糟鸡面线 Cry Mar 01, 2015
Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Food Court | Chicken Rice | Noodles

I was having breakfast at the coffee shop and I saw that this stall was selling 红糟鸡面线. I seldom see if in coffee shops, so I promptly ordered.

I was disappointed with the dish. It was just salty noodles in red sauce. Totally no 红糟 flavour.

Wonton Mee OK Mar 01, 2015
Categories : Coffeeshop | Noodles

Before it was featured in the papers, there was barely a queue. Now the queue is crazy!

I feel that it's okay only. I don't understand why people are raving all about it.

It's different from regular wonton mee. Then again, there are so many different kinds of wonton mee in Singapore.

This Thai-style wonton mee has no sauce, but it's a little oily due to the pork lard. You can add in your own condiments. They provide free flow pork lard, green onions, red chilli flakes, fish sauce and....sugar.

I ordered the medium bowl, which cost $4. Basically it just has more noodles than the small. I think it's quite expensive given that you only get two soup dumplings and one fried.
