Delicious small grill platter Smile Mar 03, 2012

Categories : American | Restaurant | Seafood

There is now 1-for-1 promotion and hence decide to give it a try. The small grill platter came with fish fillet, 2 grilled prawns, a few calamaris, garlic rice and cajun fries. The seafood was fresh, well cooked, serving was quite generous. I love the garlic rice and fries, which were tasty and went well with the seafood. Service was also good, the waiter was quick to give us the sauces that we asked for, and kept refilling our plain water. I will definitely patronise the place again.

Categories : Singaporean | Coffeeshop

Was looking for coffee at bugis area and chanced upon this quite crowded coffee place. Coffee is smooth and thick, not too sweet, overall i must say this is really good coffee, Service is good and efficient too, however i find it quite expensive, $2.20 for the upsized cup.

Sushi Tei Smile Feb 27, 2012

Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

Huge variety and we were spoilt for choice, in the end we ordered a number of dishes to share. The salmon sashimi was fresh and sweet. The chawamushi was smooth and tasty. I also love the potato salad tempura, i think it was the first time i have seen this dish in a Jap restaurant. The service was also tremendous, the waiter just kept refilling our cold green tea, though we spent a really long time in the restaurant.

Char Siew Wanton noodles Smile Feb 27, 2012

Categories : Hawker Centre | Noodles

The noodles are fresh and springy, not sure whether it is hand-made. The char siew are thinly sliced and lean, good for the health conscious. I also love the wanton, which has the peppery taste and is very tasty. The noodles only cost $2.50-$3, and the serving is huge for $3, good choice if you are looking for an economical lunch.

Famous Lao Ban tau huay Smile Feb 27, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Hawker Centre | Desserts and Cakes

I had the original flavour tau huay, i enjoyed every mouth of it, it was chilled, soft, smooth, pudding like, the soya bean taste was strong, but slightly sweet for me. Price is also reasonable, $1.50 per serving and in a takeaway container. I find it more like a soya bean pudding, instead of soya beancurd. But nevertheless, i think it is a must try for soya bean lovers!
