Sports bar Smile Dec 31, 2010

Categories : American | Restaurant | Steaks and Grills | Burgers and Sandwiches

O'Leary's unlike other bars, sets itself apart as a sports themed bar and grill, with tv shows mounted flashing sports programs and a large bar area that went with it.

The food they have here are the typical western fare, from burgers to ribs and steaks. Do note that the portions of the meals here are quite large though.

Anyway, we ordered a thin crust pizza and it came with a healthy dose of pepperoni and mushrooms. Yummy!

We also had some grilled fish which was pretty good, although i wished they would remove the skin as i really disliked fish skin.

My boyfriend ordered the steak which was thin rather than thick and cooked medium rare. I thought it taste pretty good!

Overall, a pretty nice chill out spot for folks who likes a laid back and relaxing atmosphere.

TCC! Smile Dec 30, 2010

TCC is wonderful place and i loved how it is very classy and elegant in its layout. It is also a very romantic place for guys to take their girlfriends out to!

I ordered the Roasted Rack of Lamb with Apple Puree while my boyfriend ordered the Oven-baked Chicken with Spiced Cream Sauce. We also had fried calamari as appetizer and earl grey tea.

Roasted Rack of Lamb with Apple Puree
I choose for the lamb to be well done cause i was fearful that the dish might have a strong taste/smell that mutton sometimes have when not well cooked. Strangely one piece was well done while one piece was medium rare. I prefer the piece that was well done as i found it more tender and soft.

Oven-baked Chicken with Spiced Cream Sauce
My boyfriend's oven baked chicken was nice and tender and i quite liked the cream sauce that came with it.

We ordered some banana dessert which was quite special but wasn't worth the price i guess. Will be back!

The barracks cafe and camp bar is a really nice place with an interesting name!

Decided to drop by after recommendations from my friends, and boy was i glad! The food here is fabulous.

Deep Sea Threesome
A seafood fan's dream. This dish came with fresh calamari, prawns, and mussels grilled and marinated with a special pineapple sauce. Fantastic!

Smoked Turkey Swiss
This skinny pizza is a really special dish, with a crispy, cracker like crust. This pizza had a topping of turkey and ham, yummy!

Squid Ink Paella
This wonderful dish (although sinister looking) is chock full of seafood such as prawns, black ink squid, olives, tomatos etc and is served on top paella which was some sort of rice i think.

All the ingredients were really fresh and the cheese smelt heavenly.

Yami Yogurt Smile Dec 18, 2010
Categories : Frozen Yogurt

I used to be a great fan of Frolick until i decided to jump ship and try yami yogurt. Ever since i've done so, i've never regretted!

Compared to other yogurt places, yami yogurt's yogurt is the real deal, not those normal 'frozen' yogurt, but actual, creamy and silky yogurt! Which also holds up and last longer than Frolick's before melting.

I prefer the original flavour as compared to the peach flavoured one cause the peach one is a tad too sweet- I prefer my yogurt slightly sweet with a little tartness.

Anyway, i mistakenly ordered mixed nuts as my toppings instead of my favourite granola. -.- However, I really loved walnuts so this is really great! The fruits however are frozen, so i don't recommend that as a topping.

Overall, fantastic stuff! Always a return customer. (:

Yigloo, Vivocity Smile Nov 18, 2010

Categories : American | Café

We came across this quint little shop while shopping at Vivocity. As a yogurt fan, i just had to try it!

Now, we all know that Yigloo have some fierce competitors, such as Yami Yogurt & Frolick. Although i have always been a loyal fan of Yami Yogurt, I decided to try out Yigloo as i was attracted to its cute little shop!

Unlike in other yogurt bars, here in Yigloo, the toppings are FREE! shocked We are given the choice of whatever and how much toppings we want (but only once)!

I piled on a bit of toppings here and there, things like strawberries, orange and sugary rainbow flakes. My friends crammed theirs full with toppings though, and we had such a blast!

They have 3 different cup sizes for their yogurt, namely, S,M,L, and had 6 whooping flavours to choose from!

I tried the original and cheese flavour. But personally i still liked the original flavour the best, for its rich milky flavour! (Similar to Yami Yogurt) My friend loved the cheese flavour so much though.

We spend about $3.50 for a medium cup and really enjoyed it. Next time you're at Vivocity, why not take a break from the usual Yami Yogurt and give Yigloo a go? tongue
