I didn't manage to get a snapshot of all the items, but i ordered the siew mais, spicy wanton, pork ribs, a glass of barley and soya bean.
Now, this place has always been famous for its desserts, especially its soya products (beancurd and soya milk) but we have come to love its dim sum although it was a tad bit expensive.
When our food came, the staff did not even bring the dim sum basket down and just left them stacked on top of each other. We had to bring the basket down ourselves and it was hot!
To my horror, the once delicious siew mais (my favourite) were COLD inside. Yuck. We asked for a replacement, and when it came back (i am not sure if they just re-steamed or gave us a new batch) it tasted really awful.
Anyway, moving on, the pork ribs was good, very flavourful, although a bit too fatty, used to be more meaty last time. The spicy wantons are not really that spicy, but the thin skin and thick juicy meat inside made a good combination.
Overall, my mum and i both agreed that the standard of the restaurant fell alot, and vowed never to come back for its bad service and horrid siew mais again.
Spending per head: Approximately $30
