My bf and i have always been great dimsum lovers and we decided to drop by Imperial Treasure on weekend to fix our dimsum cravings!

The restaurant was very packed but we didnt have to wait very long to get a seat.

First to review its the Scallop Chi Cheong Fan! My bf loves this but i personally found the skin to be a little too thick and the scallops abit to little. Very average only.

Next up is the Xiao Long Bao! I think the XLBs here is much better then Ding Tai Feng, with its thin translucent skin and delicious broth and filling, this is something you have to try when u're dining at Imperial Treasure!

Rating: 9/10

Overall, a very satisfied meal! Will definitely be back!

Fancy dining at a barrack anyone? Smile Dec 30, 2010

The barracks cafe and camp bar is a really nice place with an interesting name!

Decided to drop by after recommendations from my friends, and boy was i glad! The food here is fabulous.

Deep Sea Threesome
A seafood fan's dream. This dish came with fresh calamari, prawns, and mussels grilled and marinated with a special pineapple sauce. Fantastic!

Smoked Turkey Swiss
This skinny pizza is a really special dish, with a crispy, cracker like crust. This pizza had a topping of turkey and ham, yummy!

Squid Ink Paella
This wonderful dish (although sinister looking) is chock full of seafood such as prawns, black ink squid, olives, tomatos etc and is served on top paella which was some sort of rice i think.

All the ingredients were really fresh and the cheese smelt heavenly.

Ramen adventures 2! Smile Dec 15, 2010
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Ramen

I have no idea why we ate ramen again but i guess its because this ramen shop was next to my bf's cheating friend's target located at the ice cream shop nxt to the breadtalk family range which consisted of ramen play at NEX shopping centre.

While deciding what to have for dinner at the new shopping mall Nex, we stumbled upon RamenPlay, which was located at #B1 of the building, next to its parent company, BreadTalk!

I ordered the Wafu Shouyu Ramen, which was delicious! The soup was sweet and tasty, and is made out of a blend of shoyu & fishstock that has been well seasoned. I ordered the ramen with 5 slices of cha shu (pork slices) which very thinly sliced. The ramen also came with Japanese seaweed and half an egg (half cooked) and I loved it when they eggs are half cooked like how they do it, with the egg whites nicely cooked and the yolks still abit running!

My boyfriend had the Pork Toji Set while another one of my friend had the Unagi Toji Set.
The Pork slices in the toji set was nice and thick, however it was pretty tasteless. I think they should season the pork before battering it. However, the sweet onions and sauce did enhance the taste of the pork slices. The whole set was pretty large, and it came with a huge sizzling pot of pork slices, rice, miso soup and a small plate of appetizer (ginger slices thingy).

The service was however, very commendable. We were first placed at a seat near the garbage area. When we requested to move, (cause we could smell the stench from the trash) the manager and service crew were very nice about it. The service staff also regularly refilled our drinks and engaged in small talk which made our visit a very pleasant one. As we were a group of students, the manager even offered to separate our bill for us to make payment!

Overall, a very pleasant visit. Will definitely come back for the great prices and service!

Fruit Tarts Anyone? Smile Nov 21, 2010
Categories : Singaporean | Bakery | Restaurant

Fruit Paradise is a open concept dessert place and can be found at Orchard Central, Vivocity, Raffles City and Tampines 1!

We were first greeted by the dazzling displays of (fake) the great variety of tarts they had.

Both my friend and I ordered the set meal ($9.80), which comes with a slice of fruit tart and the choice of tea, soft drink or coffee.

I ordered the Mixed Berries Chocolate Tart with a Rose Bud Blend Tea.

The tea comes in a little pot (400ml) and is soooo cute! I loved the elegant transparent glass cups and the cutest little tea pot.

The tea was very fragrant and can be smelled from an arms length. It was so fragrant, it almost smelt like perfume! However, when you drink it, the aroma fills your mouth but does not overpower you with a strong taste. It is light, fragrant and aromatic. Fantastic Stuff! lol

My mixed berries chocolate tart was delicious! I especially loved it cause it had alot of roasted almonds and the almonds really created an interesting crunch and nutty flavour to the tart. However, the cream chocolate cream on top was too much and was not very complementing. (i scouped all the cream off and left it alone) The blueberries were tasteless while the strawberries were sour. However, I kind of liked my strawberries sour as it balances the sweetness from the chocolate sauce. The crust was was crumbly and sweet, but not too bad either.

My friend had the Mango Strawberry Tart and Tropical Blend Tea!

Overall, the service staff that attended to me was very good. She was so pleasant and polite! The ambiance of the place was also very good, as it was rather quiet and peaceful and was clean and had a nice view. Would definitely be back when i want to chill out and take a break from the hectic shopping scene at Orchard Road.

2 Thumbs up for this great place! bowl chopstick

Yummy yogurt! Smile Jun 25, 2011
Categories : Frozen Yogurt

You know you have great tasting yogurt when your boyfriend (who prefers meat to dessert) says that it tastes good too!

I went for the original flavor as it is less sweet and slightly more tart. I really like how creamy it tastes and i honestly prefer it better than frolick (melts way too fast and is not as creamy and silky as yoguru's!)

At $3.80, i reckon its worth every penny!
