Hot Cross Buns Smile Apr 10, 2012
Categories : Bakery

Hot Cross Buns...Hot Cross Buns! One a penny Two a penny Hot cross buns. Well! That what the kids demanded when we returned home from Easter Mass, that too at 12.30 in the night. They kept harping and singing out the poem to us.
So the next morning I went to Four leaves and bought 4 buns for all of us to enjoy. The buns were priced at $1.20 each and 4 for $4.10. It was worth the price since the buns were fresh and nice and warm. The kids ate their buns with butter and hubby and I ate them just the way they were. The raisins in the buns were delicious too! We all enjoyed our hot cross buns and enjoyed our Easter day too smile

Perfect Doughnuts Smile Apr 04, 2012

Categories : Bakery

Me and my 3 boys had been to Clementi Library to do some reading and pickup a few books. After spending an hour or so at the library we decided to and go get ourselves something to eat as we were all so hungry. We scanned our Library material and left. I then decided to ask the boys what they would love to eat and they jointly answered Doughnuts. So I took them to Cake History and bought them each their favorite doughnuts one with Chocolate sprinkles and two with Colored Sprinkles. I shared a colored doughnut with the baby and we all enjoyed the king sized doughnuts which are really yummy and so filling and left back for home.

Categories : American | Fast Food | Halal

This Saturday we headed off to Nex Mall at Serangoon to participate in KFC's Chef for the day challenge. There were 72 participants and lots of prizes to be won. Hubby and I both got a chance to join the competition and we were honored to be KFC's Chef for the day. We had a lovely time there and the competition was exciting. Although we didn't win it we were all presented with a certificate of participation and an awesome goodie bag. After that we were asked to head over to their buffet counter and we got to indulge in their yummy KFC meal. I took a huge piece of their hot and crispy chicken, a piece of the Original recipe chicken, a couple fish doughnut, a couple of egg tarts, wipped potato and a cup of their Mango and Peach Sarjora Drink and headed off to my table to enjoy the meal. Everything was delicious and their chicken as always was cooked to perfection and the fish doughnut are simply yummilicious and the egg tarts just melt in the mouth . smile

Our Christmas Dinner  Smile Mar 26, 2012

Categories : Indian | Kids-Friendly

Christmas time is always a special time for me and my family and very specially since we are Catholics and we celebrate the birth of Christ. So we decided to make our Christmas a little more fun by inviting a few close family and friends to join us over for Dinner and share in our joy. So the next thing we did was to head over to Masala Hut at Little India and place our order for food. We had ordered food from them on several other occasions as well so we knew exactly how good their food is. We placed our order for Mutton Mysore, Biryani Rice, Chicken Chetinad, Potato Masala and Papad. The in charge of the hotel took our details and told us the food would be delivered to us.
On the evening of the dinner party our food from The Masala Hut arrived 1/2 hour before our party could begin and it was nice wrapped up in foil packs and everything was nice and piping hot. And ofcourse as usual they did an excellent job with the food preparation and our guest enjoyed the food and complimented us on being real good host. The Mutton Mysore and Chetinad Chicken are simple awesome dishes and the taste is yummy and very delicious. I would surely recommend The Masala Hut to my Indian friends when it comes to catering for party's smile

A good place for Italian Cuisine  Smile Mar 26, 2012

Categories : Italian | Restaurant | Pasta

Saturday being a day off work and school we decided to take the kids to watch a movie at Causeway point and no points for guessing which movie it was - The Lorex ofcourse. By the time the movie ended it was time for lunch and the kids wanted to go back to Pasatamania since they so enjoyed the food at Lot1 outlet the previous day. So we made our way to basement1 and reached the outlet which already has most of the tables full. The waitress came over to us and told us the wait while she goes in and checks a table for us. She came back in a giffy and took us to our table. She bought a baby chair for the little fellow and once we had made ourselves comfortable we looked through the menu that the waitress handed over to us. I quickly ordered for 2 plates of Waffle Potato, while the kids selected cheese sticks combo and hubby ordered Marinara with Spaghetti as his choice of pasta. And our desserts were Chocolate Mousse and Tiramisu. I then went and placed the order at the counter and after I paid I was given the tray with coke and our table no.49. I went back to our table and sat while the food was on it's way. The Cheese sticks and Waffle Potato was bought to us quickly followed by the Marinara. We then began to indulge in our fine food and yes the food was extremely delicious. I enjoyed my waffle potato which was nice and hot and crispy. The boys loved the cheese sticks and the size of each stick was quite big and tasted yummy and the cheese would just melt in the mouth. I took a spoonful of Marinara and put it in mouth and yes it was really very yummy- I can still feel the taste lingering in my mouth. After we were done eating our delicious meal, our desserts were bought to us and they were just as delicious and so yummy. The texture of both desserts was nice and soft and creamy. We really enjoyed a delicious Italian feast at Pastamania!
