I was really very lucky to win the Rang Mahal Pavilion NDP Facebook Contest where in I won a Special Set Meal for two at their restaurant.

So yesterday being a public holiday we headed over to Sentosa for an outing then later made our way to Rang Mahal for lunch. It is a nice and posh restaurant with an amazing decor and ambiance. When we arrived we were taken to our reserved table and after we had made ourselves comfortable the waiter handed us the menu and we selected 2 cokes.

Our food was bought to us soon, 1 Veg Special Set Meal and 1 Non Veg Special Set Meal. Starting with the Soup of the day and papad. The soup tasted really yummy and was nice and piping hot and the papad was good too. Then came the starter the Veg starter consisted of paneer and stuffed tomato while the non veg consisted of Chicken and fish. Loved the taste of it and more over it was nicely presented. We enjoyed it along with some chutney and pickle. Then came the main course with Veg consisting of Dal Makhani, Ladyfinger vegetable and Special Brinjal and the non veg had Chicken, Ladyfingers vegatable and Dal Makhani. Plus 2 Garlic naans and 2 Rotis along with plates of Special pulav with salad. The food was really excellent and no words can describe it. You really need to taste it to believe it. After we had eaten we were served chilled Mango Kulfi with a candy on it which the kids picked up at once. The mango kulfi here is nicely prepared and has a dash of cardamon and saffron in it. Lastly, we were served masala tea which really made our day.

Rang Mahal Rocks! We had an amazing dinning experience with them!

Since the kids were at home on National Day and they began worrying us to take them out. A Day at the Singapore Botanic Garden was all we needed to have a family outing together. After an amazing evening and just as we were planning to leave the kids said they were very hungry and luckily we came across Food For Thought restaurant. So we made our way there and placed an order for 2 strawberry scones and a Mocha Regular. We sat at the table and the kids began to indulge in their scones dipping them in the cream all licking it off their fingers while hubby and I shared the Mocha. Hubby and I took a little taste of the yummy scone and we liked it a lot so we ordered and another one. The scone was nice and fresh and crispy and it was loaded with strawberries and you could feel them in your mouth. The Mocha was delicious as well as served nice and hot.

Our win to the exclusive cooking class by the National Pastry Team and Chef Pang from Antoinette was truly a surprise for me and my hubby. We were really very happy about it and so excited about learning to make some awesome desserts from top chefs.

So on the 11th of August, me and my hubby headed over to La Galerie De Dietrich to attend the cooking class. We had the privilege to learn 3 desserts and watch as the chefs prepare them. They do make it look so easy (until you try it at home yourself tongue) and they are really good at their job.

The first dish we were taught was how to make Chocolate Morello Cherry Parfait with Joconde Sponge. After which we were giving to taste this yummy dessert that is a combination of Caraibe Rich Chocolate, Cherry Confit and Joconde Sponge cake topped with ice cream and cherry. This dish has a soft creamy texture and it just melts in the mouth with every spoonful you eat and the cherry confit adds a unique punch and flavour this delicious dessert.

The second dessert was Choux Tanariva Framboise an another super yummy dessert which left us licking the spoon and bowl. This dessert is rich in cream and taste very delicious.

The third and most amazing dessert was the Tropique which was a whole combination of many desserts wrapped up in one. This one has rich chocolate glaze and a chocolate and strawberry topping. You have to eat it and then you just can't stop eating it.

My best friend visited me a few days back and bought me an Iced Chocolate from McDonald's knowing I am a crazy chocolate fan. I hadn't tasted one before so she told me to keep it in the freezer for a while and then have it chilled. So I put it to chill in the refrigerator. After about 10mins or so I took it out and then took a big sip of it with the straw. I just loved it, specially since it had bits of chocolate in it and it tasted of whipped cream. I just couldn't resist it and finished off the whole glass at one go. It has now become my favorite drink at Mcdonalds smile

After a hectic shopping day at Mustafa Shopping Center. We headed over to Jade Of India for lunch. The kids wanted to have their favorite Mutton biryani, so we placed an order for Mutton Biryani, Kashmiri Rogan Gosht , Garlic Naan and 3 Mango Lassi's.

Our food arrived shortly and we began to indulge in some awesome very food. The Mutton Biryani is cooked and served to perfection and it's so full with mutton in it and nicely spiced and I just love it's aroma. The Kashmiri Rogan Gosht taste simply delicious and it goes really very well with the garlic naan. What I like about the Kashmiri Rogan Gosht is that the mutton is well cooked and is very soft and tender and doesn't stick to the gums and it also has a very good flavor and spice. The Mango Lassi is nice and thick and you can feel a bit of pulp in every sip... yummy.
