Who says Lemon is sour! Smile Mar 20, 2011

Happy Lemon has unique bubble tea flavour combinations that got me curious on buying a cup to try. But eventually, I settled for one of their popular drinks: Coco Tea Latte with Brown Sugar Jelly ($3.20).

What's special about this drink is the addition of brown sugar jelly. It's not a soft texture that you will get from your usual jelly; these jelly cubes are crisp which I believe it's due to the brown sugar. Additional sweet points for this drink!

Now that I had a satisfying first experience, I will be back with a more adventurous heart.

A variety of fooood Smile Mar 15, 2011

There's so much to eat at Sakura, what should I eat first? Shark's fin soup, a variety of sushi, sashimi, salads, puddings, cakes, ice-cream, drinks, fried food etc...

I was at their Omni Theatre outlet to celebrate a friend's birthday. It's quite easy to locate the place. When I reached there, I first attacked the soups, salads and sushi, then the cooked food and fried food. A plate of food from each section. I didn't eat much as we were busy chatting and having fun! At least I took two to three cups of milo!

Food was great, nothing bad to pick at, since I get to eat a bit of everything.

Affordable bread Smile Mar 15, 2011

Often, I would purchase my favourite bread types from BreadTalk and also when they roll out new items on the trays. I walked past the outlet after dinner one day and decided to buy bread for breakfast the next day. Bought the cinnamon breadstick. As this bread is thin, it's a little crispy and flaky, which makes it a tasty treat. Although it is coated in sugar, the sweetness is not too over the top. It would be perfect if I paired this treat with a cup of coffee!

Tasty BBQ! Smile Mar 15, 2011

Time for DIY BBQ-ing at Seoul Garden and splashing of oil droplets onto my hand again! tongue Their outlet at Northpoint is quite small but still had everything in place. Glad that they had changed their pricing strategy to include free-flow of drinks (including coffee, tea and milo)!

They have various food sections: non-cooked food, drinks, fried food, cook your own noodles and dessert (ice-cream, ice kachang, fruit, cakes). Their char siew and garlic chicken are my favourites! They even have coffee chicken!

Over to their cooked food section, there's spring rolls, prawn crackers, black pepper chicken, fish and fried rice. Love the fried rice best! Their ginseng chicken noodles, however, was not to my liking. The soup tasted bland, too much water instead of chicken flavour.

Lastly for desserts, I like to eat the chocolate brownie with warm drinks/ice-cream. Sweeeeeet!

Great Indian food Smile Mar 14, 2011

Some people, such as my friends and I may refrain from ordering from this stall as they do not know the type of food that were sold. Some food looked alike; bearing the colour of curry. Nonetheless, I did order their prata and found that their other dishes, though looked the same, had their own unique taste.

During the recent visit, I ordered their briyani with mutton and spicy tau pok, topped off with a plain prata. Their briyani was not too dry and not too moist, very fragrant rice indeed! I’m looking forward to try other dishes from their stall, especially since they had done very well with their meat and toufu dishes.
