Bf and I discovered this place quite unexpectedly. At that time, not many people know about it yet, and we lucky people found it hahas. smile took the lift up to level 55 of ION with a working personnel escorting us up. There was a lady waiting at the entrance too. Because we discovered this place without plan, we did not book to have meal at the Salt Grill restaurant area, instead we walked up to level 56 to the Sky Bar area, as this do not need reservation. Hence for the first time, we just settled for their drinks, small snacks and exploring the scenery. Though we went there at night, the place is surrounded with glass windows, so we could see the many night lights from orchard and other parts of Singapore. After all, we were at 56th level up high. We decided to come back the next time to try the food at Salt Grill.

The next time we went was Valentine's Day dinner in 2011, made the reservation. was escorted up again and greeted at the lift, entrance of the restaurant. The table and the restaurant nicely furnished, with an atas feeling. It was great to spend valentine day there for dinner. But I dont think there will b a difference in which day to visit the restaurant. It is definitely good to experience once. smile

It is located in Grand Copthorne Hotel, a very peaceful area, gives a very classy feeling. There is a nice classy walkway leading the entrance to the tables. There will be a working personnel waiting there to bring you in. I ate at this atas restaurant twice. first just with my bf, second is with bigger group to celebrate birthday. during the first, one thing we didnt like was the waiter did not mention that bottled water is chargeable, he straightaway just ask to choose between the different kinds of water they have. So for that is disappointing. However the ambience of the restaurant is nice, and the food too! We tried the signature linguine lobster pasta, and when they do not have the usual lobster they used to cook the pasta, they gave us a fresh and big one (cant remember what already) but it was in bigger portion and the pasta too. Ate until very happy smile The pizza we ordered tasted nice too. So the second time round, ordered the same dishes, and ordered alot more pizzas so everyone 6 people can try the different kinds of pizza available.
The two times were great experience, I love their food!

I tried this restaurant two outlets, this and clementi mall's. But here I will just review about Orchard Central outlet. Do not observe the differences of the two outlets to comment much on that but both are as good smile
Japanese food is one of my favourite genre of food. At this restaurant, their menu has quite a few types of different dishes and sets. I cannot remember the names of the sets I tried, but photos I upload will speak a thousands words. and they are delicious.

Ate buffet at this place a couple of times during lunch hour. The varieties of food is good, from local food, to japanese food. Dessert has a wide spread too. Hence, alot of food to eat to feel your stomach. The ambience is definitely good, after all it is located in Marina Bay Sands itself, a place where tourists will visit. This is a place not to be missed out if you are into eating buffet.

Good place for buffet Smile Mar 15, 2013

There are varieties of food to choose from, make the buffet spread nice. Seafood involved too. Love to eat salmon, and here there is salmon, which I could take free flow since is a buffet. Other varieties of Japanese food available too, for example different kinds of Sushi. The meat is good, the dessert too. Durian dessert is one of the nicest.
This place is located at prime area, easy to get to even without car. For environment wise, its ambience is nice.
