Good tze char OK Dec 12, 2013

I love the taste of their salted egg pork ribs. it was very nicely prepared. There were no bones in it which made it even more enjoyable as there was a lot of meat to have.

Also ordered their fish tom yum soup. This dish was a little disappointing. It was way too spicy for my liking. The taste itself is also not authentic.

But I will have to give credit that the fish was fresh and nice.

Craving for soya OK Dec 12, 2013

My friend brought me to this outlet claiming that they soya milk here is really good. When we were there, there was a little queue. Business was brisk. I waited for a short while and ordered a warm cup of soya milk with Portuguese egg tart.

The warm soya milk was very comforting. The sweetness in it was just nice. I loved the taste. However the egg tart was extremely disappointing. It looked great but it was totally tasteless.

tapas bar OK Nov 19, 2013

Started with Crab Puff. It was deep fried ball of vegetable and crab meat. Taste was all right. Crab meat in there was very little though.

Next we had Squid in its own ink. The squid had bits of rice stuffed in it. It was chewy soft squid with ink.
Tasted all right

Braised yellowfin tuna in tomatoes was served in a can. Very cool and interesting presentation. Taste was fine. tuna was well cooked, very lightly flavoured dish.

Kurobuta Pork Collar.

This one was a bit tough and chewy. Not that good.

Overall, this place food portion is very small. It is decorated like a casual bar but food wise makes me think that they are fine dining with the sad portion. Taste wise was just decent.

Carrot cake OK Nov 19, 2013

Categories : Hawker Centre

Was back at this market to have their carrot cake, 2 doors down the very awesome carrot cake was another competitor called seng kee. I decided to try and compare.

Service was pretty quick. They even bring it to you. For a plate of $2 carrot cake, it's not bad service at all.

I dug into it excitedly. Their carrot cake has lesser eggs and was firmer in terms of texture. It has it's own attractiveness. But I preferred his friendly competitor 2 doors down. Seng Kee's carrot cake was less tasty to me as well.

Beef and tempura bento OK Nov 19, 2013   (Related Review)

I was looking for a peaceful place for lunch and settled for restaurant hoshigaoka. Settled for beef and tempura bento set.

Their service was friendly and quick. The fried tempura was sweet, crispy and nice. The beef however was lacking in flavour. The beef was also a little tough. Overall, it was just a decent meal to fill the tummy. But I must say, the fruit, honeydew served was very sweet and juicy.
