The dinner started with deep fried calamari and soft shell crab.
It was fried nicely. Crispy and tasty and you do not feel the oil as well which was good. then for main, we had linguine with live prawns, garlic, and diced tomato. This dish was not bad either.
Nicely flavored and prawn was fresh and tasty.Next up was oven baked whole sea bass with leeks and cherry tomato.
This dish was kind of disappointing. The fish had very strong fishy taste which I do not enjoy at all. Luckily the dessert saved the night. Coffee aroma tiramisu was really good. All you wanted from a good piece of tiramisu can be found in this.

I am not too sure why they name their cafe The Plain. But it was indeed so plain outside that I missed it twice. I was trying to look for it and walked past 2 times and still cannot find it.
My sister had to come out of the cafe before I can be "transported" into the plain cafe.

It's actually a very cosy joint. Pretty relaxed to be sitting in there and enjoying a cup of my favourite mocha.

I love the way it was being presented. Not your usual latte art. With the chocolate smudged all over the cup, it gives it's presentation quite a character.
The coffee is good. Tasted just right for what I imagines a good cup of mocha should be.

Thumbs up for coffee and ambiance. Service was very friendly and prompt as well.

Previously a wine shop retailing affordable french wine. they have now a new concept offering simple home cooked french food. The environment is very laid back and cozy.I ordered a long black. It's a very small cup at $3. But the coffee was smooth and fragrant. Not bad at all.

I also ordered a piece of Brie with herbs to share with my friends. This quality cheese is imported from france. It's rich and creamy. It tasted so good you just want to eat it non stop. It's great on its own and also as a bread spread.
it's inexpensive. $6 for quite a big piece.

I am definitely coming back again to try the other things on their menu!

Back at one of my favourite gelato store. I ventured to try another new flavor. Pistachio.

The gelato was smooth and creamy and had a real pistachio taste. It was light green in color. The taste was light and mild but the gelato was dense and very yummy.

Their staff is also very friendly and patient. You can sample as many flavors as you like and the staff do not show any attitude during the process.

The rooftop bar here has a very relaxing ambience.
I like to go there for red wine sangria. The drink is light and refreshing with fruit bits that you can munch to while drinking. For every jug you order, you get 3 plates of tapas to go with. I ordered their buffalo wings which was very spicy which was quite nice. Their patatas bavas, which is just seasoned potatoes was very tasty and flavourful.

The third plate I chose was their mini burger, but it was not really a burger when served. The taste of it was just so so.
The bread was tough and the beef patty was very small and not impressive at all.
