The Raspberry Cheescake was our main motive for visiting Coffee Bean! I heard that it's very nice so I wanted to try it!

Indeed, it's really nice! Moist, fluffy and not too sweet plus a tinge of sourness, perfect without making one sick! Yummy!!

This Blueberry Weekly Cake was quite a disappointment because it's too dry and there's not much taste to it.

I LOVE this Hot Chocolate!! The best I've ever drunk though I didn't drink a tonne of variety before this XD

I like the environment because it's at T3. Simply that makes this one of my favourite branches of TCBTL!! ♥

Affordable XLBs Smile May 10, 2013

Categories : Dim Sum

Din Tai Fung is a well-known brand in Taiwan and it's famous for its Xiao Long Baos (XLBs)!

Yummy XLBs with nice not-too-thick skin and juicy pork meat! The soup oozes out once the skin breaks and the soup is just so nice!

One of my favourite dishes from Din Tai Fung is the Drunken Chicken! Really superb! It's cold and the chicken meat is tender! Plus the alcohol, perfect.

Some fried prawn thingy which I ate even though I'm allergic! It's nice!

Pork ribs and pork ribs fried rice~ They're a bit oily, especially the fried rice, but otherwise, they're good! The fried rice has the wok smell and it's not burnt and hard, really good~~

The environment of this particular branch is very "heartland" though the decor looks like it's trying to be posh. There are nice seats and big tables, very comfortable. ^_^

Even though it was a rainy day, it was no cause for worry because this dining place has shelter.

This beancurd hotplate was delicious! It was piping hot too! There was a layer of egg underneath it all and one could wrap it around one tofu and eat it together! Yummy!

Sambal Kang Kong. Really nice! It was hot and spicy, very shiok, however, it not only had the spiciness, it's got taste. The kang kong was also not overcooked so it wasn't hard to chew at all.

Deer Meat. This was the best dish of that night. The meat was juicy and tender, the sauce was not too salty and quite different from other meat dishes out there.

Sotong was hot and spicy according to my family members. They liked it a lot.

Cereal Prawn was good according to my family members.

Allergic to seafood though I do eat crabs despite my health, sorry XD

Satay from the nearby stall, it was not bad. Best thing about this was the rice and the sauce.

Unagi on Tofu Smile May 02, 2013

Went for a gathering with friends and had dinner in this branch of Ichiban Boshi.

This Unagi set was very filling and tasty. The tempura weren't oily, they're crunchy. The tofu and the chawanmushi were smooth and left me wanting more. The miso soup wasn't too salty as well. All was just right.

The highlight was, of course, the Unagi sitting on top of yet another piece of tofu. Really yummy because the kabayaki sauce was neither too sweet nor too salty plus the tofu, everything was smooth. Especially with the rice. I'm a big fan of rice, any kind of rice. Rick Bucket.

So, for a quick fix or for a long friends gathering, come here. The staff were friendly and did not need reminders when you call for their service.

Pretty Special Smile May 02, 2013

Categories : Desserts and Cakes

The special for that day was Raspberry Chocolate. I also bought Red Velvet and Chocolate Chocolate.

I wanted to try it since I got to know of it and of course, the "star effect" did "affect" (influence) me.

The service of the pretty teenage girls was also very friendly, apparently, they were well-trained.

My favourite among the three has to be Raspberry Chocolate. The cake itself is not sweet, instead, it has the bitterness of dark chocolate. So when one eats the cream together with the cake, it's perfect because it won't taste too sweet until you get sick.

Red Velvet may be their "frontcake", however, it's my least favourite among the three. I guess I was just scared of the red colouring, haha.

Chocolate Chocolate is really good too even though I'd always choose strawberry cakes over chocolate cakes any day.

The "star effect" not only affected me, it also affected the price. $3 for one cupcake. OMG. Buy only during special occasions, I guess. Too bad.
