Grilled Salmon Smile May 02, 2013

I've always liked the atmosphere at this particular branch of Fish and Co. It just emits more "romanticism" than other restaurants, especially on a drizzling night. There was a live band that night, too, which made for a very interesting dining experience and helped in the chatter of our gathering.

Pictured above is Grilled Mediterranean Salmon with rice and chips. I LOVED IT. The chips were not too salty, the sauce did not make one sick, and it complimented the salmon really well!~ I've always loved their tasty rice! It's special and fruity.

For birthday celebrations or gathering with friends or a romantic dinner date (sit on second floor), choose this branch of Fish and Co.!

Scallop Sushi Smile May 02, 2013

Kazokutei has a very nice name and it has become one of my favourite Japanese restaurants since trying it for the first time last year!

The dish pictured above is Scallops Sushi, $4.90. It's one of the better sushi that I've had in a while. They are not stingy with the scallops and they are fat and nice! Yummy! Amount of rice is just right, not too much and not too little, with just the right amount of vinegar and stickiness!

I'd always go to this restaurant whenever I happened to be at Plaza Singapura!

Delicious Claypot at Night Smile Apr 23, 2013

Categories : Singaporean | Chinese | Coffeeshop | Steamboat/Hot Pot | Zi Char | Noodles | Kids-Friendly

Being the only stall at night at this HDB Coffeeshop, the place is usually patronised by the residents in this cluster of flats. Recently there seems to be a change in chef helming the kitchen. My visit last night confirmed it. Ordered claypot hor fun for $5 and was delighted with the new ingredients offered. Broccoli! That’s nice, something you see often for claypot noodles option. And it’s not the case of just broccoli, you still get your cabbage and carrots. The gravy given was a lot more now and it’s just right, not too starchy like before. Overall, I was very satisfied with the order tonight, hopefully they will maintain this standard. One suggestion I would give is, to add in roasted meat 烧肉 to it and, of course, more yam as well smile

Great Value For Money Smile Apr 18, 2013

This shop is right next to the arcade but it's not as noisy as one would imagine, so it's actually quite a nice place to have some great food at reasonable prices!

They also offer boardgames!

Yummy fish and chips! It's really aimed at teenagers' taste buds and I really enjoyed this dish very much! It is filling too!

8 scoops of ice-cream!

Hot waffle with condense milk + milo powder and ice cream! It's not as sweet as one would imagine!

Overall, a very nice place to have fun with friends while eating good food!

Ayam Bakar Smile Apr 18, 2013

Categories : Indonesian | Food Court

Ayam Bakar doesn't sound like a nice word, especially "Bakar" which sounds like "Baka" which means stupid or silly in Japanese.

HOWEVER, it tastes GOOD.

For $8.50, nestled inbetween all the "high-class" shops and restaurants, one can have such delicious Indonesian dish!

The fried stuff were not too oily and dry, so they tasted good and smooth.

The chicken was the highlight. The sauce and the chicken went really well with the plain rice! It was not too oily and really flavourful!

I would like to go back and try other dishes they offer!
