Went there for dinner with family on a Sunday evening. I was a little apprehensive about the restaurant, since it's almost like Marche's concept. But I was quite surprised with the quality of food there.

We ordered Hawaiian pizza, Aglio Olio, Beef Skewer, Kebab with Olive Rice, Rosti, Lobster, and Chocolate Cake for sharing. I particularly love the thin crust pizza, beef skewer and kebab. The (chicken) kebab is a must try!

The rosti and chocolate cake tasted decent, but I was expecting something more. Overall, worth a visit, and I might just return for big gathering.

Underrated Tonkatsu Smile Nov 08, 2013

Went there for lunch on a weekday, and it was a very relaxed lunch, since they don't have long queue, and the restaurant wasn't really packed.

Service is really good and warm. I particularly enjoy their fried pork cutlet and prawns, as well as the cabbage salad with lots of sauce. I don't usually order fried cutlet at Japanese restaurants, because of the greasy taste. Tonkichi is the only place that I always go back to for fried cutlet, because the food doesn't taste greasy, neither too heavy.

I find that Tonkichi is quite underrated for the quality of the food. I don't really find the price there expensive, especially when I compare the quality of their food with their casual Japanese dining places.

Nice Cafe to Chill Out Smile Apr 15, 2013

We were looking for a place for dinner, and came to House of Robert Timms. It's quite a nice place to chill out with friends. They have quite a good menu on food, drinks, and even wine. I like that they serve their sandwiches on whole grain bread.

The sandwich that I ordered was quite massive (haha), which is really not like what is shown on the menu. I guess for the house sandwich, 2 persons can share. Love the fries smile

Nice Casual Dessert Smile Apr 15, 2013

Saw this new kiosk opened at Raffles City, and was curious to try out. Moreover, these sweets just look so cute!

Ordered Rum & Raisin for $2.90 per piece. It's nice that the cakes are handmade daily without preservatives.

The cake has a cake-exterior that opens up to a molten chocolatey centre. Gooey, slightly warm and niceeeee. Don't expect atas cafe standard, but I think S$2.90 a piece, it's really a good match for the quality vs price. A nice, fun and casual treat, especially if you are not intending to eat a standard slice of cake or dessert smile

Nice Malaysian fare! Smile Apr 15, 2013

My friend suggested this place, which I have not heard of.

We were pretty satisfied with the service and food. The signature nasi lemak has got really good chicken. Crispy, yet not overly oily. I had the chicken curry with bread, and was surprised at how fluffy the bread was. Great curry too (too bad the curry is too little!).
