Grilled Goodness! OK Oct 05, 2013

I have always liked teppanyaki for the fact that you get to see your food cooked right in front of you so this interaction portion is really exciting! Close to my house, i have gone to Sakae Teppanyaki many times and i still am not sick of the place! My personal recommendation for everyone would be the garlic fried rice which is super fragant!!

For starters, they give this simple salad. For those of you that have not tried the sesame dressing before, please please get a dose of i and i guarantee you will like it!!

For the mains, there are multiple set meals that you can opt for and most of them have pretty high quality! Even for the foie gras!!

Good ol' Fashioned Chicken OK Oct 01, 2013

Categories : Korean | Fast Food | Halal | Korean Fried Chicken

I had a lot of this previously when i was still in JC. However, with my busy schedule now, and after i changed my diet slightly to become more healthy, i haven't had this in a really really long time man! However, today was to be a day of no frills and no regrets, so we decided to just go get it! It came super quickly after ordering but it was still piping hot! The spicy ones were really, really spicy man, but definitely good!

Go for the soy one if you prefer a milder taste! The fries are also quite flavourful because of the seaweed topping! Good stuff especially if you don't mind the calories!

Just had dinner over @ Kong Kee in Geylang! After having some good ol' KL Hokkien Mee, have been craving for some in Singapore! I have been mainly satisfying my cravings by getting this black, gooey goodness from Simpang Bedok. Recently, i have heard some good reviews about the KL Hokkien Mee @ Kong Kee, along with some other good grub. Decided to go there today with my parents to check the place out.

Looking at the menu, many of the items are super pricey!! The only cheap thing was perhaps the KL Hokkien Mee and of course we were gonna get it! We also heard that the Sang Har Sang Mee was good and decided to get it! It seemed that the smallest size was $20 and this was the only size available. My mum loves Dong Po Pork so we got a serving of that as well.

The Hokkien Mee arrived first, and we dived into it immediately. We could definitely taste the Wok Hei and boy was this some heavenly goodness. What was most amazing about the noodles was the pork lard. Flavourful, crispy goodness! It literally exploded into our mouths and it was so, so crispy! Kudos to the chef for the freshness of the lard!

The Sang Mee came after this and it was super huge we all got a shock! We were quite amazed at how much we were getting for just $20, it was quite incredible.

However, my dad didn't really like it, and we couldn't really finish it by ourselves. In the end, when we got the bill, we realised that the Sang Mee was $40 instead! I was actually quite annoyed with the person who took our order! She clearly knew that there were only 3 of us, how on earth could we finish a medium sized plate of noodles that was that big?! Not wanting to make anyone unhappy, we just suppressed our annoyance and left.

Nonetheless, the boss was really nice about everything. Although she wasn't there when we were settling the bill, she was clearly very keen on keeping her customers happy. My dad was busy finding a parking space for our car so he was slightly late and the food was slightly cold. Her kind act of helping us heat up the food was definitely appreciated! This was one simple gesture of enhancing our entire experience there! I would go back because of her and the Hokkien Mee! Affordable & Tasty!

Mexican! OK Oct 01, 2013
Categories : Mexican

I've always had a thing for mexican food, but it isn't really easy to find affordable and authentic mexican food here in singapore! We decided to try Baja Fresh to check the place out!!

We didn't really have an elaborate meal, and the food wasn't really very filling, but it was still not too bad!!

I had some quaesidillas with shrimps and it was really really nice but just too little! The avocado is really fresh over at Baja Fresh! Also, as you will see from the photos, they have free-flow salsas over there and some are really tasty!

If you're hungry, go for the burrito! Filled, with rice, it will definitely fill you up!

National Day Dinner! OK Oct 01, 2013

Categories : Italian | Pasta | Halal

Classified Chicken has always been one of my favourite flavors from Domino's and as usual, it didn't disappoint!! The sauce is really really special! I'm not sure what goes into it, but it is just super addictive!!

The other one we got was just okay, nothing special, but the meat and mushrooms that went along with it was quite tasty!!

The highlight of the dinner was definitely when i added my own ice cream to the lava cake and it was really a match made in heaven! I don't think anyone can argue with the fact that when the hot lava is accompanied with some ice cold ice cream, it is truly one of the best feelings ever!!
