Mediocre Curry OK May 21, 2013

We were suppose to have lunch today in Tonkichi @ Orchard Central but due to some time difficulties we decided to have a quick lunch in 313@Somerset. It was a toss between Popeye's Chicken and Curry House CoCo Ichibanya. Guess who won.

CoCo as far as I know is quite popular. There were several occasions where we visited the vicinity and there was a queue outside. Today, however, there was no queue. Just a few tables were occupied. Why? I think its because of a new restaurant that had an opening promo of $1 per sashimi/sushi dish. But more on that later.

Nam Nam = Yum Yum Smile Sep 15, 2013

I normally don't crave for Vietnamese food, but Nam Nam Noodle house changed that. I love restaurants with simple menus and NamNam is a good example of this.

The first must try is the Bahn Mi. My choice was the Caramelized Pork. The only think that I wished for in this dish is that it should have more pork and vegetables.

The next must try is their Pho. Any would do its just your preference but I would recommend trying the mixed beef as it has the best of what NamNam has to offer.

BBQ Pork Buns to Remember Smile Jun 02, 2013

So, it was a Friday night and my good friend Mike is in town. Wifey also left the office a bit early, since it's "Eat with Family Day" and this was a good combination to try out Tim Ho Wan. One of the things you will experience when dining here is waiting in their monstrous queue. For a table of 5, wifey had to wait for 2 hours. Yup 2 hours just to queue. Good thing though is that once you are in, service is prompt and food is served quite fast + the food is rewarding.

Our Favorite Chinese Restuarant Smile May 18, 2013

Paradise Dynasty is an excellent restaurant. Be sure to visit this place and order their Xiao Long Bao and La Mian noodles. My favorite is the spicy beef brisket. Though I think some people may find it a tad bit too spicy, I find it just right for my taste. The beef is soft and juicy. The multi-colored XLB is a gimmick in my opinion but their original XLB and garlic flavoured ones are the best that I had so far.

Please visit my blog at http://lvfoodhaven.blogspot.sg/2013/05/paradise-dynasty-ion-orchard.html for a full review.
