Yong He Smile Jun 06, 2013

Yong He Eating House is famous for its dou jiang (soya bean milk) and you tiao (chinese fried breadstick). So asked boyfriend along to dine, ordered the soya bean milk with you tiao and also mee sua. The you tiao is crispy that goes perfect with the soya milk. The mee sua was thick and starchy. add in vinegar will taste better. As it open 24hrs, recommended for those who late night suppers want to have some light bites, can try out their dish and they also sell dim sum etc.

Ion Orchard, Itacho Sushi which serves great quality sushi. The place is always packed though and almost always will need to line up to get a seat. Ordered the soft shell crab hand roll - S$4.50++ it was pretty good. clear soup with yellow tail head - S$6.00++, the soup was nice and taste sweet. recommended for those sushi lovers to dine here. pricing for some dish might be expensive.

bitter gourd soup Smile Jun 06, 2013

I went to dine at this coffee shop. I ordered one bitter gourd soup from this zi char stall. It costs $4 for one bowl, and it includes quite a lot of ingredients like fish cake, egg, ginger, meat, fish slice, tomato and of course, bitter gourd. Overall for such a big bowl, in my opinion it is worth the price of $4. Do remember that it is best to eat while it is still hot, because if left cold, it will not taste good anymore.

went for lunch at hougang the queue was quite long. as their area was quite small, we waited about 10-15mins for seats. ordered 2 plates of chicken rice. 1 plate of chicken rice include roasted pork (shao rou)

and 1 plate with braised egg.

normal chicken rice cost $2.50, for our 2 plates cost $7.30. the serving is quite full and quite reasonable for the price. they also have soup and can self service with it.

went there to dine with parents and my boyfriend about 9pm. their closing was till 11pm. if dine on weekdays the crowd is still ok, if visiting on weekends/special occasion the waiting time tends to be longer. their service is still okay.

ordered the tofu, highly recommended because of the sauce it make the dish super nice. even with the sauce only and rice mix well too. with freshly prawns and mushrooms. we ordered the 'hae zhou'

, and the vegetables. both dish is nice.

and lastly a bitter melon soup, like the soup as inside included some fish, prawns etc with lots of pepper.

overall, 4 pax spending less than 30bucks, worth it.
