Mee Pok Smile Oct 15, 2013

Categories : Hawker Centre | Noodles

Was having late lunch here with my mum after her medical checkup. Was curious about how good is the food at this stall when every afternoon was having long queue. After a long decision, decided to give it a try. Bought a dry mee pok. Noodles is soft and tender, the way the owner have cooked it is great, not too hard neither too soft. Just nice. Along with it is fishballs, fish cake, fish wanton and meat. Nothing too special about it but as for the chilli sauce is good.

Spending per head: Approximately $3(Lunch)

Fish & Chips Smile Oct 14, 2013

Categories : Coffeeshop

Is been so long ever since I last taste the food here. Ordered a fish and chips to eat and see whether is the standard drop. To my surprise, the standard didn't drop and get better from what I remember from my childhood days. Staff are friendly and helpful. Fish given is big enough and along with it is fries, coleslaw, baked bean and a bun. Is the usual standard and owner didn't change the side dish till now. Although the batter is look huge but the fish meat is a lot in it. will come back for more and try the other dish.

Spending per head: Approximately $6(Dinner)

Best Porridge  Smile Sep 26, 2013

Ordered a mix pork porridge added with egg and extra youtiao to go along with it. Never once tasted a porridge that is nice until i found this stall. Porridge is tasty and the ingredient is fresh and cooked just nice, easy to chew on it. Youtiao is as normal and dipped in porridge to eat is good. Most of all, they serve in claypot so when you have it is still piping hot. Total spent for it is $4.50. Will be back for their other variety of porridge.

Best Soy Chicken!!!! Smile Sep 20, 2013

My colleague recommend me this chicken rice stall which i didn't know about its existence. Is located in at a shophouse opposite hong lim complex. Advise to sit outside as indoor will get abit stuffy and noisy. Once seated, their staff will attend to you shortly and take your order.

Order one whole chicken and to my surprise, they give out the chicken organs FOC. Can't imagine that they are so generous as normally others stall will tends to sell it rather then give it free. The chicken meat is tasty, soft and tender. Mix it well with the sauce and eat with rice. fantastic. lol

According to my colleague is that when you order a whole chicken, you get to purchase the wanton soup at a special rate of $1. That is unbelievable. I can only say that they are good at business. Their wanton is delicious and the filling in it is sufficient. Soup base is nice too.

They do have self cook barley drink. That will be better as recently weather is abit strange and is good to have it to smoother your throat. smile

Overall cost for four pax is $21.

Will be back for more and strongly recommend this to all people.

*Note: They close at 5pm and is heavily crowded during lunch hours.

Although is a rojak, it does sell popiah. Ordered two popiah with chilli. I like this stall popiah as is full of ingredient and is not too wet. The filling is enough for each bite and they ensure that their ingredient is freshly pick. The staff is friendly in taking your order. Ingredient will be like eggs, turnip, beansprouts, garlic and etc. They ensure that it wrapped tightly and won't peel off when they cut it equal. Spent $1.30 for each popiah.
