Sumptuous Meal Smile Aug 24, 2013

Hei Zou. The meat was ok and the sauce was good.

Chicken rice to go with the meal.

The tian ban dou fu was good, served piping hot.

chicken. The chicken breast meat was tender and juice. I believe this is their signature dish.

Fish head curry. The curry sauce was simply awesome. One of the better ones I've had recently. This stall is packed to the brim when I arrived and it's not hard to see why. The food is good and cheap.

Wanton Noodle OK Aug 24, 2013

Boon Kee Wanton Noodle at clementi. Went for guo tiao dumpling (dry) today (without chilli as I had sore throat). The guo tiao was done just nicely, not too over-cooked. The black soya sauce goes pretty well with the noodle. The dumpling came with the soup and the meat was ok. Portion was a little small though. Would appreciate if they gave slightly more dumpling (probably 1-2 more will be nice)

Dessert in the Evening Smile Aug 23, 2013

Lime Mousse at the Katong 121 shopping mall Charly's T after a long hearty dinner. The lime mouuse is refreshingly nice and not too sweet (which i hate my desserts to be). Sufficiently flavoured and melts in your mouth nicely. The hint of lime is nicely done too. The service was good as well and the staff was friendly. Will probably return to try other desserts on another day.

Dinner at Tao's Smile Aug 23, 2013

Used to love the Tao's at Pomo. They shifted to the Central - and there seem to be much lesser people (the prices have increased as well, probably that's why)

Appetizer. Complementary plum drink. Good to start off a meal

Fruit salad - normal fruits with salad. probably something u can make at home

This Escargot is surprisingly good. Love it

Grape mallow tea and apple rose tea. Love them - refreshing and not too sweet.

Creme Brulee. Normal. But nice. Not too sweet.

An overall good meal. But will be awesome if it stays at the old price

Thai Food Lunch  Smile Aug 23, 2013
Categories : Thai

This Thai restaurant is at the row of low shophouse. It isn't really furnished nicely as compared to those in retail mall. But the food is surprisingly good. The fried rice is not too oily like those normal ones, and the portion for the large sized one is really big. Prawns and sotong are fresh as well. I really liked their deep fried golden mushroom as it's not too oily and seasoned nicely.
