This is the only Turkish Restaurant I have tried in Singapore that really served authentic mid-value cuisine. The environment is very suitable for a quiet meal and a private talk with friends.

The one dish I will always order is the Roasted Chicken wrapped in Cheese. The chicken is tender and tastes especially well in the melted cheese. Portion might be a bit big for the ladies, good for sharing among 2 lady friends.

Top off your meal with a small glass of Turkish Tea. The sweetness and slightly fragrance will leave you wanting to go back again even after a full meal.

This is definitely one of the best value-for-money Seafood Restaurant in Singapore. With a table full of dishes more than enough for minimum of 6-7 pax, the bill was about $90. That is about $12 per pax.

Must eat:
(1) Salted Egg Crab - very tasty and not too “gelat”, the crab is “deep fried” nicely that you will end up eating both the meat and the shell.
(2) 菜脯豆腐 - my personal favourite, the 菜脯 is done till perfection, crispy and crunchy.
(3) 纸包鸡 - most of the wrapped chicken sold outside are either soggy or too dry, however Yi Jia did it just right, tender and juicy.

Looking for a place to entertain your children while having some simple food? This cafe nestled in the 'ulu' Aliwal Street is not easy to locate but if you are going on a weekend, better call first to reserve to avoid disappointment.

Honestly, the food are simple and just nice for snacks. Don't expect restaurant standard, but it's the environment and company that makes the trip worth it. Seeing a smiling kid enjoying his/her time doing art & craft, I guess any simple food is more than enough for the parents.

One thing surprising I learnt on this food review at Baan Khun Nai was, the Thai do not like spicy food. In fact, they will add sugar into most of their cuisine.

The Chef from Baan Khun Nai comes from the Northeast of Thailand. And one of the Northeast delicacy is the Grilled Pork with the Chef's special sauce. It has to be the best grilled pork I have ever tasted, dry but tender on the inside. Probably goes very well with a glass of beer =)

The Olive Fried Rice with minced meat is very addictive too, especially with all the different curries available, it will serve well on the fragrantly fried rice.

And no Thai meal is complete without the amazing Mango Salad & Mango Sticky Rice. A must try!

The perfect place for a quiet breakfast away from all the traffic and crowd. Situated in the heart of the commercial office area of Shenton Way, it is expected to be quieter during the weekends. And that is when I would recommend you to visit the restaurant.

The portion is pretty large, suitable for sharing especially if you do not eat much for lunch. Best deal is children gets to eat free for every paying adult who orders a set. There is also a small playroom to entertain the kids while parents can enjoy a nice meal and quiet morning.
