This stall sell really delicious chicken wings! Crispy and brown on the outside, soft and moist on the inside. The meat is really tender and flavourful, it is especially nice when you eat it just after it is fried! This stall also sell beehoon and mixed vegetables, just like those nasi lemak concept.

Recommended Dish(es):  fried chicken wing

Zhi Char Smile Feb 10, 2014

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Hawker Centre | Zi Char

Tried this zhi char stall many times before and it was pretty good lol Ordered quite a few dishes for dinner

This is my favourite, the san lou hor fun. I love how the hor fun is soft and the sauce is really great too. The fish are pretty fresh, with the bean sprouts, it is delicious lol

Bean paste fish head and bittergourd. This is quite nice however i didnt really like the bean paste.

Fu rong dan. This egg dish is quite oily but filled with quite lots of ingredients such as char siew, onions. It will be better if it was less oily.

Sambal kang kong with cuttlefish.
This was so-so , the cuttlefish was great. However the kang kong was not spicy enough.

Overall, this is a great zhi char stall esp the san lou hor fun! lol

Molten lava cake Smile Feb 10, 2014

This was my first time trying Chocolate Origin. Had heard that their cakes were really nice and a must try for chocolate lovers! Decided to try their molten lava cake @ $5. It came in a small cup with the cake only filling half of the cup and a vanilla ice cream at the bottom. The cake was quite nice with the chocolate lava flowing out of it lol With the ice cream, it compliments the chocolate cake really well! However, it will definitely be better if the cake was bigger though.

Overall, although i had tried nicer chocolate cakes than this, this molten lava cake is really nice too! lol

Recommended Dish(es):  Molten lava cake

Spending per head: Approximately $5(Other)

This was my first time at The Ship. My friends and i were walking around nex deciding a place to eat when we saw this restaurant with their student promo of various main course meal @$8.50++ ! Decided to try it as it was quite affordable too smile

The interior of the restaurant really do look like a ship and the ambience was great too lol

I ordered a Pork chop meal. It came with a starter (Bun and mushroom soup) , pork chop and a dessert (scoop of ice cream).

The mushroom soup was not bad, quite creamy and smooth too.
The pork chop was really delicious! The meat was tender and not tough, the sauce was great too smile The carrots were boiled and really soft. Their fries i feel were better than average, crispy lol

For the ice cream, there were three flavours to choose from, chocolate, strawberry and mint, Being a chocolate lover, i chose chocolate ice cream smile

Overall, the lunch was $10 with gst and service charge. Really affordable and with their high quality of food, i recommend this place for western food! Of course great ambience too tongue

Recommended Dish(es):  Pork chop

Spending per head: Approximately $10(Lunch)

Japanese buffet Smile Feb 05, 2014

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Sushi/Sashimi | Buffet

Kuishin Bo is an authentic buffet restaurant which serves a wide variety of fresh japanese food including sashimi, seafood, ramen, appetisers, desserts and more.

I went to the jurong point outlet for lunch buffet on a weekday. It cost $29.90++ for adults and $16.90++ for child.
As i love sashimi and seafood, of course i took a lot of sashimi and prawns hehe. The food was really fresh and delicious!

Also, they had a tepanyaki station. The beef cubes were well marinated, soft, tender and favourful. I could easily eat many pieces! For their desserts, there is a chocolate fondue for chocolate lovers lol You can choose to dip fruits, marshmellows, pretty nice and covered with chocolate!

Overall, Kuishin Bo is the best japanese buffet restaurant i had ever been to as they serve a wide variety of food at affordable prices. Also their food was really fresh especially for the sashimi lol
