I had been to Char Grill several times, they serve delicious and affordable western food which is especially popular with teenagers.
One glimpse of the menu and you will know they serve a wide variety of western cuisine ranging from pasta, fried rice, to grilled chicken and even burgers.

You can order a main dish with 2 choice of sides dishes to choose from
I ordered the Grilled fish italian herbs with baked potato and salad.
The grilled fish was fresh and tender, with the sauce which complements the dish really well! The baked potato was delicious too. The salad was average.

Overall, i would frequent Char grill bar again!

Japanese meal OK Dec 24, 2014

Categories : Japanese

This Japanese stall in Food court 3 serves decent japanese food. Although the food is considered quite pricey compared to other stalls, there were always a long queue during lunch time!

I ordered the rice topped with omelette and salmon for $4.50. The stall auntie will ask if you would like brown or curry sauce. As i dislike japanese curry sauce (too sweet for me), i would always opt for brown sauce. The salmon is quite a big piece too, depends on your luck tongue

Overall, the dish is great and value for money smile

Island Creamery is a great place to chill and have desserts with your friendssmile
It specialise in cakes and ice cream with unique flavours!
The one dessert i especially love is the mud pie. It has layers of chocolate, cookies and cream with caramel sauce, topped with oreo cookie crumbs. It is an epitome of an ice cream cake except it is way better! Being a chocolate lover, this definitely is worth every single penny smile

Bak kut teh OK Dec 19, 2014
Categories : Chinese Soup | Bak Kut Teh

This was my first time dining at this restaurant. It is located at the basement of westgate, beside a sushi restaurant.

For this restaurant, it is like a self service concept as customers order their meals via ipad and have to collect the utensils yourself from a collection point near the cashier.

For 3 people, we ordered two bowls of rice, the signature bak ku teh pork ribs, one bowl of pig trotters, vegetables. We also ordered the you tiao with beancurd since it comes in the set and it seems to be one of their signature dishes.

The you tiao and beancurd came first. The you tiao tasted not bad, served warm and quite fragrant too. The traditional beancurd was soft and silky.

For the dishes, they tasted average. The pork ribs and pig trotters were quite soft but the portion was quite small though ):

Overall, it is a good experience but not worth it to spend $35 just for the meal.

Egg tarts Smile Dec 19, 2014
Categories : Bakery | Hawker Centre

I had bought several pastries from this stall before. All the pastries are fresh and delicious. I especially love the fact that they opened a pastry shop in the hawker centre. lol

I bought an egg tart for around $1.20. The crust was extremely fragrant and buttery, not crumbly at all. The egg custard itself was tangy and soft, when eaten with the crust, it tasted really delicious. Also the appearance of the egg tart was not the typical kind you see elsewhere as the crust itself was higher.

Overall, the egg tart is worth a try and is a great snack for anytime of the day!
